Yeah, because Nuno Mendes's Viajante sold food that was WAAAAAYYYY cheaper...

This is a bullshit story, a journalist with not enough stories on his hands, pushing his agenda against a start up business, because he couldn't get in to interview anyone at Town Hall Hotel.

He can cock off. Twat.

Leave them alone. They're just expressing themselves through cereal. And wouldn't you rather that than people who wear chinos and deck shoes?

.....sorry. just morphed into Rosie there for a sec. Sorry but both of these guys are monumental bellends.

And no I don't wear chinos (or salmon cords)

"The Pear Cafe was opened by brothers Smith and Carnellson. "We just got up one day and thought why isn't there somewhere you can just go an eat a pear at any time of day? And what would such a place look like? And we were away. We sell six types of pear including a rare variety that only grows in Corsica"

Met 'em. They're nice. And Louisa, they're not from the Home Counties. What a monumental load of parochial cock.

I like what they're doing. They're excited about cereal, it's nice to feel positive about something, eh?

Myself, I'm ambivalent verging on disappointed about cereal, so I'll probably never eat there. But it's nice that they're brothers who had a ridiculous idea, and rather than doing what most of us would do, and boring our mates about it in the pub for years to come, about what could have been and what should have been, they opened a cafe that champions their obsession.

Ah, the season of goodwill. I wonder how your shrivelled little hearts summon up the power to keep beating throughout the day.

    • Franklins is lovely but it usually only has one veggie option, so if your vegetarian doesn't like it they might  find it hard to find something else. So it might be worth checking out in advance what's on the menu on the night you want to book. Maria's is also lovely, but it's very small. I didn't think they had a table large enough for 8, but reading the above I'm obviously wrong!
    • We live in East Dulwich and often to go Rye Lane. I know people say there are good restaurants near Rye Lane.  Does anyone have recommendations for good places for lunch or dinner?  We like Manze for pie & mash at lunch. And I've been to Peckham Bazaar in the past, which was excellent.  Thanks!
    • My husband is currently a full-time carer for our two disabled children, and he’s keen to get back into paid work where he can fit it around our family needs. He’s immediately available and looking for local handyman work — from snagging and DIY jobs to gardening or general fixing-up. He’s capable, practical, and reliable, with plenty of hands-on experience restoring and maintaining, including with heritage/listed properties. If you have a to-do list you never quite get to, or need help with those annoying finishing touches, he’d be happy to help. Please drop him a message if you’d like to chat or check availability. 07968345884
