Funnily enough, I text a couple of foumites this morning with a question that had been bothering me.

Why on earth did the Boomtown Rats need telling why they didn't like Mondays? Surely that is one of the more obvious facts of life?

I feel vile today! Not only through self inflicted damage (although I won't deny that has played a part). My lips are totally cracked and horrible, it's amazing how nasty cracked lips can make you feel, especially when matched with a red crusty nose! :(

Sorry, too much info I suspect.

Everyone in my household is unwell (man flu I've been told) and I'm 6 1/2 months pregnant packing up our entire house because we are moving on Saturday.

Anyone want to come and dismantle double beds with me? I'm sure there was a mistress topic on here somewhere.....

Sorry you're no longer hot, Giggirl. Mind that duvet though, it might be luring you onto the rocks.

I feel lethargic, on a badly planned overbudget project that is a paragon of how not to manage the client's expectations (ie i have a lump of cheese on a toothpick that took me 5 minutes and 29 pence, they were actually expecting the moon on a stick for that).

I am currently giving a masterclass in displacement activity.

Christ I wish I was drunk.

Granted I would much rather be drunk and naked on a beach somewhere in the Caribbean but as days in the office go today aint so bad. My wife made a really nice lasagne last night and I have some with me for my lunch. It?s the little things like that that make me happy. I?m also wearing new socks which feel nice and fluffy.

    • I’m not sure how many other people have experienced this; but both me and one of my friends have the same story. Around Crawthew Grove and Crystal Palace Road: I was followed by a large fox right on my heel. At first I didn’t notice because I had my headphones on, but then I noticed my shadow had an extra lump in it, funnily enough, it was a fox, very very close to my feet. Even if I sped up walking it just tried to get closer - it was quite frightening actually, it was quite clear that it wanted to nip me. I didn’t know what to do so, I started to reprimand the fox and walked slowly away from it, facing it - which it didn’t seem to like and backed off a bit. I then proceeded to speed-walk away.   Quite frankly, the whole situation was quite embarrassing and a little bit frightful as I’d never had a fox even come up to me. I’ve heard of particularly curious foxes that might come up to someone who beckons them, and maybe even bite that person, but I’ve never heard of a fox chasing someone. The amount of confidence that it had was incredible.    When it happened, I was on the way to see some friends, and once I had told one of them, she told me the same thing happened to her.  if anyone else knows anything about this bitey fox then let me know!
    • Another recommendation for Andy. I needed an old kitchen removed as an emergency. Andy came over quickly and did a fantastic job. I have used Andy a few times. He is punctual, helpful and always does an  excellent job.
