Ma
I have no idea but it seems they were not making it business wise . The restaurant always looked empty Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/470-jerk-rock/#findComment-10377 Share on other sites
Keef
That's because the service was awful! Shame, cos the food was good, you just didn't want to wait that long for it, and constantly be told they'd run out of the very thing you wanted to order! :-S Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/470-jerk-rock/#findComment-10388 Share on other sites

Doodles
Yes. So am I. They may have been slow but the food was good and they would always sell you a beer while you waited. ivemet-jimmy
Their food was great! Its a real shame!! When ive got food from there id always have to wait. And im not talking 5mins. im talking an average of around 20mins. Now, sometimes I dont mind as its worth the wait. But most time im in a hurry. Which ment that I would decide not to go. spymum
Umm Rotis! (drooling noise).Don't get me started Snorky! The local food is Barbados is wonderful and I always come back six pounds fatter. Or is that the effect of the rum punch? I don't think that the high faluting Sandy Lane would disgrace its hallowed portals with local food! Poor old Michael Winner wouldn't stand for it!Next time I'm near the Bellenden I shall give Sunsplash a whirl.spymum(Blog: Posh Mum) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/470-jerk-rock/#findComment-13234 Share on other sites
Incitatus
It's a Trinidadian takeaway on Croxted road at the Herne Hill end, recently reopened under new management and it rocks. They have a very bad stereo playing very good Steel Drum music. The Roti's are great but the Doubles (two Chick pea flour pancakes filled with curry, mint, yoghurt and other stuff) are gorgeous all smothered in Tamarind sauce.
