Also please let's not weigh into someone when they've been brave enough to mention they've been dealing with depression! Personal comments may have much more of an effect than you intended. Emmableu, good to hear ED is a happier place for you and I hope it stays that way.
Spoken like a true Londoner, Louisa. I've just been reading an autobiography from the 1870s in which the author says that even as a child she knew that London was the ultimate destination because there are no road signs in the middle to other places, which is still true in a way.

Fair point, no "weighing in" was really intended, but I still think the post was needlessly shitty about a place people live. Suggesting that people from an area are aggressive and that there is no community feel is not right. Of course people are entitled to an opinion, but if they voice it like that, then it's little wonder the community didn't welcome her with open arms.

Personally I have felt more community in Penge than I have since the CPT closed in ED.

I think a lot of the negativity may be down to Pengenvy.

I have never knowingly been to Penge or encountered a Pengian but if that noble borough (district? terminus?) were to have an open day we could all flock there (even the Pengenvious) to observe life at the end of the 176 rainbow and peer through the rim of the dome to see what lies beyond.

Would we need a picnic?

I can see your point, and sorry if my post came across as aimed at you in particular as that wasn't my intention. I know one or two people who've been badly bruised in this forum so it was more in that spirit.

Capital E and D?. Viewings lined up for Saturday. Once word is out I'm sniffing around the area prices bound to rocket...

Emmableu - whereabouts did you live in Penge? Bad neighbours exist everywhere, you're either lucky or you're not, but if genuine I'm sorry that was what happened to you.

Parkdrive - You're still coming across as an attention seeking buffoon. You came out with some wild accusations about personal knowledge of weapons and crime in Penge that have since been proven to be utter nonsense. Wind your neck in.

Posted in wrong thread!

As I said earlier, you post something on here contrary to other views and this is what you get. Did you have a drink before you wrote this or are you always so obnoxious? But thanks for proving I was right about anyone daring to post a contrary view to the great and good of the EDF, I guess you flatter yourself to think you are among those. Now you wind your neck in. Tool.

Yours was more than an opinion PD. You didn't say "I don't like Penge, it's a bit grim and feels a bit rough to me". That is an opinion.

You basically said Penge is a rough dump where crime is high and you'll likely get attacked. That's not an opinion that's just a nonsense (the likely to get attacked bit - if you think it's grim that's fair enough).

Just to say that Dartford has a WAITROSE, while ED and Penge don't, so suck on THAT!

BTW, good to see the return of the estimable EDF term 'cookwank' on this thread.

So thrilled. She was only around two blocks away, on the far end of where Silvester meets Landcroft.  She's a bit freaked out, hungry and exhausted. But safe!!  That night I had honestly nearly lost hope, I just went for a final walk just to put my mind at ease. Anyone who is missing a pet, it's horrific. Just trust your gut, you know your pet better than anyone.  All posters being remove, and comms being updated this morning. Thank you all for your patience! I know little Gigi (see picture) is still missing from Heber Road. Praying she is found soon! Do check the post to see if you can help.
