"Meanwhile Sky Sports has unveiled plans for more than 5000 hours of promotional films designed to trick you into believing that any of it matters in any way whatsoever.

A spokesman added: "We know how you pretend to feel about football, because we pretend to feel the same.""

And I've done a fair bit of begging and favour calling in to get a ticket for the Milwall game...spuds I'll watch on the tv

18 year old Ayala continued to show promise last night and it's bit of a shame Rafa has had to dive into transfer for cover with Skrtel and Agger having niggling injuries - but maybe at ?2m it makes sense. I'm certainly relieved we did not sign Michael Turner from Hull - regardless of whether that was because of lack of funds (they wanted ?12m) or because Rafa worked out his was useless.

But EVERYONE knows we're a two man team. Which was actually a 3 man team before Xabi left.

A spurs fan in my office printed out the league table and highlighted Spurs and Liverpools positions. I told him I would bet him that if Spurs finished higher at the end of the season I'd have the league table tattoed on by back and he would have to do it if liverpool finished higher, strangely he woudn't take the bet.

Who is this Demofo you speak of Keef? If you mean police force's favourite Ferrari driver Jermain Defoe then yes, you're right. He was fantastic last night. Bet you'd love him at Liverpool eh?

    • A lot to agree with here - don’t get me started on Irish people complaining about immigration! - but that final paragraph is once again a cop out  there’s a lot of extreme right wing money stirring up the division that people are feeling - but there is zero excuse for handing power to these people. We live in a democracy and if we have enough people willing to give it up then judging those people foolish enough to do so is not only something that will happen, it is something that the rest of us should be morally compelled to do  if someone wouldn’t “normally” vote for a racist party yet somehow will do so because they hear someone like me saying that would be bad, then you better believe I’m judging them

    • The current wave of xenophobia is due to powerful/influential people stirring up hatred.  It;'s what happened in the past, think 1930s Germany.  It seems to be even easier now as so many get their information from social media, whether it is right or wrong.  The media seeking so called balance will bring some nutter on, they don't then bring a nutter on to counteract that. They now seem to turn to Reform at the first opportunity. So your life is 'shite', let;s blame someone else.  Whilst sounding a bit like a Tory, taking some ownership/personal responsibility would be a start.  There are some situations where that may be more challenging, in deindustrialised 'left behind' wasteland we can't all get on our bikes and find work.  But I loathe how it is now popular to blame those of us from relatively modest backgrounds, like me, who did see education and knowledge as a way to self improve. Now we are seen by some as smug liberals......
