Doesn't sound like anything new to me :-|

I went out several times with a man who runs a shop on LL. He said he was single and seemed lovely. When we slept together for the first time he got up immediately after sex and said he'd have to dash as he wanted to help his son with his homework. Until that moment he'd said he had no kids. I pointed out he'd never mentioned being a dad before and he told me he has a wife and several children. He told me he that as a British woman he 'knew' I'd understand his 'arrangement'. I was really hurt. He has since tried to pull my sister (without realising she is my sister).

This is a thoroughly random thread but has resulted in some corking posts:

From ???? : So, in summary ...don't have sex with SOMEONE from round here because you might catch SOMETHING.... this is why I find the EDF so useful

From honk : *cancels plans for later*

From HonaloochieB : Christ, babies being changed on pub tables, shopkeepers spreading the pox, when did I move to Birmingham?

I salute you, gentlemen.

I think you're protesting too much Flick. I reckon underneath it all you are one smitten kitten.

But please remember if you do decide to surrender your flower to him, then I beg you, take precautions.

Don't tell him your real name and make sure the phone number you give him is the Yee Wah in Barry Road.

What is this? The problem page of the Woman's Weekly?

That is the issue here, they insist they are single but of course being as Dulwich is a closed knitted community most of us know via other shopkeepers/locals/friends/family etc that this is not the case and they are in fact married and have kids, and it makes it worse when you find out not only have they chatted you up but also your family members and friends!

And I also dislike it when I cannot pop to a local shop because they think it is ok to flirt, well it is not! I just want to buy my goods and go and not be asked for my number, if I have a man etc.

Ahh, I have been to the Bishop a fair few times and no one has disrespected me there, I expect them to because they are usually drunk, I don't expect that from a staff or businessman.

I know what you mean HH, if I had a pound for every time Barry from the Barry off-licence in Barry Road offered to carry my shopping home for me, well I'd be a good deal better off. I can tell you.

If it wasn't for the free beer, I'd take my business elsewhere.

Oh, and if you run up a slate make sure you can pay it. With money.

I won't forget Xmas 2005 in a hurry.

I'd imagine they don't have sex with him there and then on the shopfloor. But maybe some do, I don't know.

    • ..........................  suspend visas from countries that do not "play ball" on returning over-stayers and illegal migrants. why "could" . Why not do it now? Getting it done now would  undermine Reform's position and give Labour a "win" - even though the Tories had signalled they were going to do this before they got turfed out.

He was here within 2 hours -- ok he was working locally but he didn't have to fit me in .Shows what he's like ,he'll try and get to you asap .And he carries a number of commonly used parts and doesn't have to go off and get them . (You might think that this isn't deserving of comment ,but believe me it is ! ) Great guy ,100% recommend .

If anyone saw a man carrying these items or acting suspiciously in the area around that time, please report it to the authorities and let me know. if anyone has access to cameras located near the area, your help would be appreciated.  Let’s help keep our community safe.
