Peckhamgatecrasher
My one and only perk when I was in the MOD many moons ago, was a trip in a Westland from Battersea up to the mouth of the Thames. It was fab. Rockets
The same helicopter flew over LL today. They weren't doing the school run were they - when I was at school every year an army helicopter would come, land and take some 6th formers up for a flight to try and persuade them to sign up, either that or we have an army camp in our midsts!!!! jim_the_chin
in more paranoid days I used to wonder whether that big building next to that green space was some sort of government establishment. maybe I was right, best get my tin-foil hat back on. Michael Palaeologus
"Big building next to that green space" - Sainsburys? St Peters Church? Dulwich College? The Peckham Rye caff? jim_the_chin
"in field behind sainsburys" - or behind the abbotswood houses - there's a 3-4 story factory style building, you can see it from most angles, but best from the greendale pathway.I think this is it, hard to tell from above Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5733-military-helicopter-landing-in-field-behind-sainsburys/page/2/#findComment-184852 Share on other sites
ae
I thought that was just housing for doctors/nurses from Kings... but now I'm wondering if I need to tin foil the attic.I did wonder why I could hear a really loud helicopter the other day, but when I looked out the window I couldn't see anything. Peckhamgatecrasher
I saw that tonight, was v. low but quite a small chopper, don't think it's military. matthew123
It flew right up above Sainsbury's then immediately returned south, similar to the Puma a few weeks back - so wondered if there was any military significance in it's trip.. this alongside it's camouflage type paintwork..
