Property owners boring on about how much the value has gone up since they bought it. Thinking back fondly to circa 1990 and the badges that said, 'I don't give a f#ck how much your house is worth'. So glad no one I know does dinner parties any more.

Dot notation ...

Example 1. Dotted notes and their equivalent durations.

The curved lines, called ties, add the note values together.

You may of heard the phrase 'Read the Dots'

Well you need to know about The Dots to read sheet Music..

In the example you give, the "dot" is referring to the actual dot, not the note.

They are dotted notes.. Reading the dots gives you the duration of the Note..

Don't blame me on buses - on half the buses I can't get my legs in straight due to the stupidly small space they leave between seats. And I'm not amazingly tall, so I reckon quite a few people suffer this.

Dulwich Fox, I was not talking about dotted notes - I doubt anybody talks about them apart from during a music lesson :)

I was referring to people who call the notes themselves (dotted or not) "dots" :))

ETA: OOOPS sorry Otta, just seen you said the same thing, I hadn't read the rest of the thread.

Irritatingly, this thread has neither been about little things or irrational rage for ages. It's mostly been about rational rage.

Anyway, cafes who put a blob of basil pesto on tomatoes in a side salad. Just stop it please, it pervades EVERYTHING. If i wanted pesto, I'd have ordered it so enough of the poncey garnishes that are about as welcome as balsamic drizzle from the late 90s. Thankyouverymuch.

What sort of cafes do you go to then? The ones I mostly frequent wouldn't know what pesto is let alone a tomato unless it had been fried.

    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
