Just seen this... Bread Ahead is the guy who was head baker at St John until last year (Justin Gellatly). The doughnuts are basically the same, but with a wider variety of fillings.

The trouble is that the fewer young people who vote (partly as a result of Brand's rantings) and the more older people vote, Governments will feel that they need to pander far more to older voters and keep on giving various benefits to old gits like me. That can be seen quite clearly in the policies of Osborne who is desperately trying to persuade people like me to vote for him. But sorry George, I won't.

As it's a while ago I was trying not to name names, but yes, that's the one.

Yeah I'll give him that.

That annoys me. He's done some drugs in his youth and enjoys shagging good looking women. Wow, big shocker, I think we're all junkies by his definitiotn.

Well yeah, but that's like saying I prefer flea bites to cancer.

This is brilliant, nearly in tears laughing!

I think my top annoyance is that I always try and make space for people walking the opposite way on the pavement but it seems very few people do the same. Makes me mad and so I have started to play chicken with people to see how close they'll get before moving an inch and really want to drop my shoulder for a dump tackle (not very ladylike!).

Although interestingly I have found that many more people in East Dulwich give way (both walking and driving) than in other parts of London - and I've lived in quite a few different parts of London.

Then my rage towards this tiny thing is indeed irrational.

Agreed. LOVED Halloween as a kid. These days it seems we've taken all the shit aspects of the American version without all the stuff that makes the American version good. So now it's just all about trick or feckin treat.

I sincerely hope similar is available still because for many elderly their pet is their main source of comfort and company.
    • In a couple of places locally, I have come across this. I am fairly sure that they attempt to do the bill in their head. If you just say , “no, I think it’s x” they start again and get to an agreeable number, or find a calculator. I don’t think it’s a malicious attempt to swindle people. Just not great arithmetic.
    • There are excellent charities like the Greenwich Wildlife Network who will help if you report any concerns with local wildlife. Foxes are wonderful creatures who had been forced into our town and cities and are just doing their best to survive, we should take care of them when we can.
    • Like I thought… prob like that for most of the day.. especially after people had walked their dogs, with friends, relatives  kids…
