HARRY HILL.

Just seen the revamped version of iconic 90's variety show 'Stars in their Eyes' on tv. What a shocking disappointment that was. The entire show has been transformed into a kind of self gratifying show for Harry Hill to indulge everyone in his poor quality, not funny slapstick humour which grates worse than a piece of mouldy cheddar.

Not impressed. Shame on you ITV.

wHEN YOU HAVE THE CAPS LOCK ON. mAY HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT IT AND THEN YOU TYPE A LONG SENTENCE. lOOK UP, AND aaaaaaRGH.

That really makes me want to take a sledge hammer to my keyboard. Guess not a problem for the touch typers out there, but I stare at my keyboard as I type occaisionally looking up. Twice today this has happened.

People who get on buses, sit down on the outside seat, put their bag on the inside seat, then studiously look down to avoid catching your eye when you want to sit down. Up to and including a comedy look round the bus when you tap them on the shoulder, to check there isn't another seat you could be taking rather than disturbing them.

Cheers Loz. Today is a GOOD day.

I don't care Otta, when I'm on a mission to sort out a DIY job at home the last thing I need is some joker in paint stained Matalan clobber asking me if he can fix a new door knob on for me. Pop to the job centre if you want work, stop congesting the busy car park of a retail park intimidating and annoying customers. I've confronted B&Q and the defunct Comet (Pets at Home now) to no avail.

    • The year of Councillor Naima Ali's tenure as Southwark Mayor comes to a close on Saturday. Her energy and enthusiasm have made her a popular local figure and she has been dubbed the Hugging Mayor and sometimes the Dancing Mayor. She talked with Chris Haydon on PECKHAM PODCAST about her life journey, FGM and being proud to be British:
    • It's started. And seeing it just now made me feel genuinely a bit flat and sad.
    • I'd forgotten about that place.  It wasn't a market as such, it was just run by one  couple. They did have some quite interesting things. I still have a mirror I got from there, which had been  put inside an old painted  shuttered window frame from somewhere in India. Mumbai I think. There also used to be occasional indoor  markets in the church hall where the cinema now is, next to where the Irish shop used to be. But if memory serves they were usually either jumble sales (do they still exist?) or craft sales before Christmas. There have also been occasional indoor markets at the church hall in Dulwich Village and the church hall at the church in Barry Road up by the Plough. There never seemed to be many people buying things at them. But it does all depend on what is being sold, whether it appeals to the local demographic,  where the market is located and how it is publicised. And, obviously,  whether it is profitable for the traders.
    • How the hell did Mad maxxi do that given the state of the rest of us?
