New Green grocer in Zenoria Rd

A new Green Grocer opened in Zenoria Rd (Behind Nero's), mostly English produce, fairly priced,very helpful guys who run it, give it a try, I'm surprised no one else has posted anything on the EDF!!

Their South American asparagus put me off a bit. Don't get me wrong (I'm not going to give up avocados or bananas just because they don't grow here), it's just that it was in season here.

They had English Asparagus last week which was great, but only a few bundles, you must have missed out!!

That said, I'm a fan of this place because of his potato selections - good stuff

Ive used this place over the last month and have had great stuff. The guy is really nice an ex covent garden market greengrocer.He explained that although some of the produce was not form here he was bringing in the home grown stuff as an when it comes into season. I hope he makes a go of it and is in the process of setting up a website. I also liked the self service and came away with bags of good and reasonably priced produce.He certainly can count on my custom .its just a pity hes a bit hidden away so lets give him some support.

We've needed a replacement for Dave Smith's.

Its also open on a Sunday which is great as Pretty Traditional is closed then. I've been most weeks since it opened and have been quite impressed. I've had some great rhubarb from there - and the prices are reasonable too.

Bought there several times now -- good produce, reasonably priced (appears cheaper than grocer on North Cross??), very friendly.

He moved to Herne Hill. It's the greengrocer along from the station. Much bigger space - good produce.
