I used to like Asta restuarant on Middlesex Street (10 mins) from Liverpool Street - always full of Japanese customers. Good value and tasty bento boxes to eat at lunch. More variety and better quality than the Asta takeaway / sandwich shop between Liverpool St and Moorgate.

What can we deduce from this thread as the relentless Google search engine indexer crawls over this site finding the key words best sushi restaurant London and figuring given the hits that EDF gets it?s important and puts it up to the top of search results.

The wisdom of crowds and the good nature of the British when given a challenge to worry out the solution (Bletchley Park anyone ?) meant as soon as SKS threatened to go to the grave his lips sealed then the combo of a knowledgeable community + challenge meant the name would be revealed.

So the name is here - of that I am certain ? now SKS reveal the name and ruin one or keep silent and ruin them all ? the fate of authentic Japanese sushi lies in your hands.

Interesting website, though no mention of things like food, prices or menus :)

Thanks, I'll have the Chinese proverb please (with whose sentiments I fully agree and in fact adhere to :)) )

Let's hope there's not more than one Chinese proverb up as I couldn't be arsed to watch the whole lot .....

Does this mean it's like an open house? What time? Sample food? More info please.

Myself and a mate went in Friday night and walked straight back out again - very noisy. The guy on the door said "its well sound proofed isn't it". True - you open the door and are hit by a wall of sound.

Seemed busy though. Suspect it and Liqourish will share customers, although Liqourish was quieter and we could hear ourselves speak. Adventure Bar may suffer though with a competitor on the same side of the road.

More variety is good though.

A Brazilian bar serving sushi??

Brazil has a long history of catering to their huge Japanese population. Thousands of Japanese emigrants traveled to South America to work coffee plantations in the early 20th century and now they have the largest Japanese population outside of Japan. The integration of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cultures is a big part of Brazilian cuisine today, much like "American-ized" Mexican food and "British-ized" Indian food. There are chains of Brazilian/Japanese restaurants in the US, my favorite being Sushi Samba in New York.

So I'm hoping Boho, if they are a Brazilian place, will take their sushi very, very seriously. Anyone tired it yet? How are the prices?

    • I'm glad you are making good use of your car, but bemused how you are saving on petrol by only half filling every 3-4 weeks? Unless this prevents you using the car as often as you would like, surely you would use just the same amount of petrol, and spend the same amount of money, if you filled it up completely every 6 - 8 weeks? Have I missed something here?

    • Would Leon install a new double oven? Our eye level double oven was installed when we had our kitchen installed around 20 years ago and will need to be replaced with similar. I think we had 2 people to install it then - so does Leon work alone?
    • My car was registered in 2004. Automatic, ULEZ compatible.  Used to use it daily for work until 2016 when retired. Still used 3-5 days weekly after that as was doing voluntary work. My mobility has gradually declined and  it is painful to walk.. Family live in Kent, Essex and Sussex - so need car to visit them. My car battery is 2 years old - when had to call out RAC to assist at home as it was dead, they found it was the original battery installed in 2004!! My car is essential - shopping each week, being able to go to garden centres, or DIY stores, taking the cat to the vet and  other social activities. I now only half fill with petrol every 3- 4 weeks, so save that way. I am careful  with my finances and would be lost without the car. It is regularly maintained (Turners).
