Take it you're referring to his interview in West Ham Till I Die

There are things I do not like at all about Sullivan but I think this makes very interesting reading.

Yes that - but also this from Monday's Guardian -

"This might not please many people but look at Scott Parker's performance in the first five games of this season. To me it didn't look like he was doing the tackling you'd normally expect him to do," said Sullivan. "He was running about, he was doing OK but he wasn't doing the tackling we know he can do because he knew that the one thing that would stop a move for him would be an injury."

Easy. (seriously).

*sings* "Ten men! We've only got ten men! We've only got-" *Vaz Te goes down injured* "Nine men! We've only got nine men!"

memo to Sam - ask if we can play every game with ten men and a rush goalie.

Strange goings on indeed. Would like to hear Ollie's immediate reaction.

Happy with our result at Barnsley.

Here it is - tbh the Tangerines seemed to panic when Greene was sent off, as though they HAD to score now and better be bloody quick about it. Ollie was about right...

"It was pretty horrendous from our point of view. Only one team turned up. In every single way they were better than us.

"They were more professional than us, they played it in the right way on a difficult surface and we just made mistake after mistake after mistake.

"Just about everything that could go wrong did. I felt my lot were caught in the emotion of it. They were not professional, they did not get it right and we were beaten by a better team."

Aboooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo's aside, that was a massive result. the " new boys did well and got goals. Birmingham look in form but a thinner squad than us, Southamptone need to sort their away form. Feeling optimistic right now.

Playing better without Nolan?

Playing better without Carew and also (to lesser extent) Baldock (he needs time maybe to develop a bit more)

Yes it's early days for Vaz Te and Maynard but they are exciting up front. The team (particularly Faubert and Tomkins) have got some confidence from the new arrivals that Piquionne and Cole didn't always instill. Taylor doing a good job too - got real depth now.

Something quite special going on around Pompey at the moment. In an effort to pack the ground tomorrow, support the lads and get some revenue into the club, people are buying tickets for those that cannot afford to go. I have been offered 4 already from mates back home! Sadly I have the kids tomorrow as it's the wife's birthday and even though I will be in the mother land I will not be able to go.

This is what being a footy fan is all about however!

Hope there are still enough players to form a team after having to let top scorer Huseklepp got to B'ham on loan for financial reasons.

Good news for the Irons is that Green's red card was overturned so he'll be in team for tomorrow's lunchtime k.o. v the Eagles.

It is a sad state of affairs. Rivalry aside, I wouldn't want to see any club go out of business. When Saints were in administration it was dire and we were 2 days away from liquidation following an unsuccessful bid and people pissing around. No one saw our saviour Marcus Liebherr coming. He had to pay a significant amount of money as there was a 24 million pound debt on the stadium. So.... it is possible to get out off this and I think it is a good decision by the administrator that he will find a buyer rather than Channrai finding one.

That said.... down you go......

Hi all, Leeds fan here!

Are any of you into your betting? We have just started posting on a forum called Bet Share and there are some pretty decent bets being discussed for todays football.

I think Birmingham has to be a banker today.

Thought you might be interested.

It should be but as a Blues fan I am too superstitious to bet on our mathces. Especially on our current unbeaten run.

I've goe for Newcastle/Swindon/Notts Co/Burnley paying slightly under 8/1.

    • @HeadNun I haven't been through the assessment for mental health issues, god knows they treat you like you have one when you are assessed for motability issues. Therefore I can't comment on what you've read but don't always believe what the media telks you as they often sensationalise things to sell papers and bend the story slightly 😉  All I am doing in this thread is asking people who disagree to the PIP reform in its current format to write to their MP to say so and ask for a well consulted and thought through change. I'm not here to change people's minds but happy to discuss how disability impacts lives.
    • I hate the idea of someone with a genuine disability losing money, it's heart-breaking. I thought the whole idea of these cuts was to get kids with mental health issues, which we used to call 'the human condition', off benefits and into a job. Before anyone says anything, I'm not talking about people with severe autism.  If the tests are so astringent, Spartacus, how come healthy youngsters with anxiety are getting benefits? It's ludicrous.  This from The Times:  Then there is mental health. This is the fastest-growing category of claim; anxiety and depression is now the single biggest reason to claim PIPs, accounting for 16 per cent of spending. Including problems such as autism and ADHD, there are 1.4 million people claiming for “psychiatric disorders”, almost 40 per cent of the total.   NHS figures on Thursday found that 23 per cent of people of working age now have a mental disorder, up from 18 per cent a decade ago, rising to 26 per cent in 16 to 24 year-olds. Young people are most likely to claim benefits for mental health problems and there is growing concern about a generation who may do so for decades. The number of children on disability living allowance, the precursor to PIPs, will reach a million by the end of the decade, double pre-Covid levels. Most of these are for behavioural problems such as ADHD or learning disabilities
