know what it is sean and dm, its all the sugar which coats the mallow in between the two biscuits, mmmmmmm.

I think Mumra is on the right track. It depends on the context. After football, no dinner because of too many beers, and needing a rapid snack the gluten-free custard creams I found in the cupboard really hit the spot. I thought they would taste like cardboard. On reflection I think Mrs Mac stocks them for our coeliac friends so I'd best replenish...JM

It is pointless I know, so apologies for bumping it, but.....

Barry, let me get this straight. You went for a chat, they asked you to bring biscuits, the chat became an interview and they offered you a job. They are now sending you photos of themselves eating the biscuits?! How do I get a job there? I know my biscuits!! [Not sure about jam and cream in a *Jammy* Doddger thought....]

Yes, that's exactly what happened. It's pretty sweet. If you know your biscuits, I can only recommend you touch base in the next month and plan for biscuit eating and tea drinking within the next three to secure a position there. From what I can tell, they're expanding.

p.s. My new boss told me he actually contacted the british biscuit appreciation society (or similar) to refine their list of biscuits for meetings, no joke. Go here The Alternative Contact Pageand click on the biccie booker. Please note I gained extra respect in my first message to them by pointing that in fact, a jaffa cake is not legally a biscuit. I just didn't want to start that argument earlier (thanks for bringing it up, SpadeTownBoy :-) )

probably a wise decision to go for the fingers rather than the regular ones,as depending on the size of your cup dunking the whole regular biscuit can sometimes be a problem requiring several goes, whereas the fingers are narrow enough to achieve whole dunking in one go. congratulations on your choice.

    • On three occasions I've had a dog run up to me. On two occasions, including one last week, the dog was aggressive. The third time it was a whippet who was being playful but did nip me on the leg. On each occasion, the dog owners were completely ineffectual.  The owner of the aggressive Staffordshire didn't call the dog off at all and the other two owner's attempts were pathetic and half hearted. I have a friend who is a dog walker. She says that you need to shout at the dog. You call its name and say 'come here.' loudly.. If you are a dog owner, you need to learn how to control your dog, or keep it on a lead.
    • A political weekly I subscribe to was often delivered to me on Monday or Tuesday after it's Thursday publication. Or later. Never before Friday.  They have changed their delivery from Royal Mail to a courier service and for the last 3 weeks it's been posted around 7:30 on Thursday morning or before!  Presumably that must now cost in for them.  The slow death of Royal Mail may not be that slow...
