I've had a f*cking hell of a week, and it's not yet done. I need a beer. I'm getting the feck out of this office and heading home, from where i shall be wandering to either the Palmerston or the Bishop for a pint or 8 and perhaps a whisky to finish. Yes, that bad.

Won't see you there, due to my blind-drunkeness.

Hmmppph! No good sweet-talking your way out of it now...

Ha! So I was right with my name guess then.

Shame I can't make the pub tonight :(

Oh sorry darling...I thought it was because I referred to Legal as a "hussy"!

Yes...well, I'm not having it...

*switches to other single men thread to check on Legal*

No worries Tillie...(it's my dreadful sense of humour - catches people out every time...hey ho..)...you have that drink

(*winks at TillieTrotter*)

So, Rob. I'm curious - were you joined in the pub last night by a bevy of gorgeous forumites?...

In a word, no. It was not like the attached. Was in the Bishop (as the actress said to...) then up to the Lodge for a few too many. Ended up chatting with an utterly delightful 40/50 something lady who was amazed that i was just chatting with her, and not chatting her up. She was also determined to impress on me that she had 3 kids and so could not possibly be of any interest to me. People can be a bit odd.

May be about tonight, too, though. This weather shall have me stray not too far from the nest.

    • I’d also recommend Paul for electrical work. He came round the other week to help us out with a handful of jobs (installing an SPD, new light fittings, installing a dimmer switch, a bathroom fan). His quote was cheaper than what I got from others, he turned up on time and he got the job done quickly.
    • We’d like to add our recommendation for Lukasz and team at L&L Building & Maintenance.  Lukasz has recently installed a roof terrace for us, and we’ve found him a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We contacted about a dozen recommended builders and found his quote very competitive. During the build his team delivered quality work, they were no hassle in the house at all and they kept the place tidy every day. The terrace looks great, and we’re very happy customers. What stood out in particular was Lukasz’s responsiveness, right from discussing quotes to follow-up during the build. Lukasz often checked in and was always available when we needed him.  We’ll definitely contact Lukasz again for future building work and we’d happily recommend him to others looking for a reliable builder.   Lukasz Kugaczewski L&L Building & Maintenance 07926651960 [email protected] www.landl-build.com
    • Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
    • What can be done? How about reporting it to the police?
