Trick your Friends into thinking you've completely lost 'the Plot' by imagining you are wearing a 'Magic Cloak' : Simply lift both arms together, bring them around to meet at the front whilst simutaneously dropping your head as if hiding under said Cloak. After a second or two, bring your arms backwards and finally lif...t your head. Make this look even more convincing by saying out loudly, " Now you see me....Now you Don't ! "

This is a genuine Top Tip.

If you are going out on the razz BUT don't wish to take a purse or wallet, then I use this to keep my cash card safer.

Take x 1 elastic band & wrap it around the card a couple of times, then put the card in your safest pocket.

The elastic band stops the card accidently sliding out. ( in most circumstances )

It works for me.

Nette:)

That reminds of another safe place to keep things. Sitting next to a Danish lady on a flight back to London from somewhere, we land and come to a halt. Instantly she inserts her hand inside her blouse and lo and behold her mobile phone appears. Remarking upon this interesting place to keep a phone she did say that there was plenty of room. The drawback is that you would need to be wearing a bra but if you do then you could probably keep a card in there too.

Perhaps Nette can experiment and let us know.

PS I expect this would help those females on here who tend to drop their phones in the toilet. Has it recovered OD?

    • That's a shame as it was a nice local place that provided something different to pizzas, pasta or burgers. We are still fortunate to have a few independents such as Kartuli, Monkatsu, Evi's and Kokum but it does feel we are getting towards use them or lose them to the chains.
    • Big recommendation for Niko, got the job done a day or so after I contacted him with taps I'd already bought but wasn't sure they were suitable.  Friendly and knowledgeable as well.

    • I found the timeline shared here really useful when I was buying and converting my loft, so thank you to Nick86 for posting it! My loft conversion is now complete, and I received building control sign-off some time ago. However, I’m now stuck in a drawn-out back-and-forth with Southwark Council over various additional sign-offs they say are needed. It’s been incredibly frustrating -  very disorganised, and every time I send them everything they request, weeks later they come back with something new. I've asked for one clear and concise several times but it makes no difference.  Has anyone else been through this with Southwark Council? If so, do you have any tips for getting it over the line? At the moment, I can’t proceed with the lease amendments or update the Land Registry until this is resolved. It's truly maddening!
