I do think however that only having a negative reporting enables the "easily offended" to make it look like someone is not wanted, when in fact he is very popular. If we had a "rate this post" button, I'm sure he would be a top performer.

The "report this post" link is for people to report offensive posts so Admin and the team can act, think of it as a legal requirement, it's not for people to tell the management whether they like other users or not. There's more than 12,000 registered users on this forum and that's more than enough to deal with, having one user who persistently causes complaints is one too many. Sorry Mick Mac, I know he's a sound guy but he was warned loads and given loads of chances but he kept causing complaints. Like Keef says, it's a shame.
