After a week of stress and worry, I am very pleased to say that Limi just arrived home, he is a little skinny but other than that he seems to be just fine. We will go for a check up to the Vets next week.

I think, as predicted, he got stuck in someone's house who went away for a the week.

So whoever discovered Limi in their house thank you for not going away too long!

Our cat went missing last night on Pellatt Road SE22. She is a 2 year old Russian Blue, she is quite a small cat. I attach a photo just in case anyone has seen her. Not sure if she has been taken or is just shut in somewhere - she rarely strays very far.

South Norwood Animal Rescue and Liberty - SNARL

Hi everyone we have collected four bodies in the last 48 hours and the Police have collected another.

This spree matches a spree earlier this year where we had two weekends of bodies across London.

Four of these bodies have been found in south London. Please get your cats indoors at night. We know it's difficult and many don't like it but right at this moment we have an offender who is back in the south London area and able to get hold of cats easily because they have been left out.

We cannot predict where he will strike next and we are expecting him to kill again this weekend.

We are not saying this lightly. We will try and get flyers out as promised this weekend but have to prioritise going to scenes so apologies if we don't get to you.

We also are not in a position to keep answering the same questions over and over again so for the record:

EVERY bit of physical evidence points to one offender who travels a lot probably for work. Yes he is operating over a large area but having travelled these distances ourselves in his wake its easy enough to do in fairly short time periods.

Cctv is being checked. If you are living near to where a victim is found you will be contacted by us or the police. Bear in mind we are working on multiple murders and multiple scenes and we cannot be in five places at once.

We will not be releasing road names unless someone has already done it to protect the owners.

If you find a body or body parts with any of the injuries we mention in our pinned post CALL US on 07961 030064 or 07957 830490.

If you see someone behaving oddly with a cat, particularly coaxing it or hurting it DIAL 999 STRAIGHT AWAY and call us afterwards. Get registration numbers, the person's description, but do NOT approach the person. Let the police deal with it. Anyone who decides to take the law into their own hands will not be treated favourably by us or the police so DONT be tempted. You may well be hurting someone perfectly innocent.

Yes, please keep your cats in at night, so what if you have to get a litter tray. Am constantly surprised by the amount of roaming cats I see and hear at night, also early in the morning.

Yes, I agree, and I see them on the street, pavements, and front gardens. My immediate neighbours have five cats in three houses, one has three! And the others have one each.

I have never seen so many roaming cats before. It seems to be a British thing. If you live on a farm and have a mouse problem, then great, but I don't understand why so many allow their cats to roam in a city.

Phlox- its because they are pets, many people on this thread, myself included, enjoy having cats as pets and the pleasure that comes with this. Hence why you see them! They're not just for working on farms.

Having said that, at the moment, with this person killing them, it is worrying seeing them out at night.

Homing pigeons.

Cats are considered under the law to have a legal "right to roam," though it doesn't exempt owners from liability for damage to property etc. Personally, while not having cats myself at the moment, I love seeing them coming in and out of our garden and mooching around the streets. Keeping them in at night is sensible though, not just for their own safety but to reduce predation.

Fool? Why? I am not a cat hater, have had 7 cats in the past, starting from when I was 18, but not all at once. I can't understand why you would let them roam 24 hrs a day. Some are very territorial and beat up other cats, spray and steal food from inside houses. They fight, a lot. I would want to protect any cat I had from that as much as possible. One of my cats was terrorised in his own house by someone else's cat. He received many wounds. I would also be worried about the amount of foxes roaming around. Now, with this cat killer around, it's a no brainer to keep your cat in, most of the time and especially at night. Never understood the putting them out with the milk bottles concept, only now, with the microchip readers they can be on the razz all day, every day. That's not a good thing.
