TRB
I'm curious about how people feel as they head towards the age of 40.Do men and women react differently? Is 40 the new 30 - as people keep telling me.What are the pressing issues that concern people? Is it all a cliche or should i really be worried?TRB Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9748-thoughts-on-40/ Share on other sites
Roll Deep
Age is irrelevant. The ability to misbehave is essential. Man or woman. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9748-thoughts-on-40/#findComment-290318 Share on other sites

Ted Max
It's about now you will wish you had developed an earlier expertise in ties. But there's nothing you can do about this now, as life is over for you. brum
Reaching 40 can make you behave irrationally. Be prepared. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9748-thoughts-on-40/#findComment-290331 Share on other sites
????
I spent my 40th Birthday out off my head (legally and illegally) generally surrounded by friends who were far younger than me - though the old guard dropped in earlier (pre clubbing) but had to (and I expect wanted to) return to babysitters et. thinking without any sadness "This is the way it's going to be for me"...seven years later I'm married with 3 kid under 5 and happily so...I'm with John Lennon. Jah Lush
Absolutely nothing to worry about. You're just another day older. I was up for three days and nights celebrating my 40th. TRB
your female intuition is correct Lady Muck. I am indeed a she.i'm not overly worried about ageing - it is a natural fact of life but I'm interested in how it changes a person and what it means to others to reach this milestone. The mainly male perspective given here has given me some insight into what i expected, in that men generally don't give an arse. But women are usually more susceptible to these kinds of issues but by the time we reach 40 are we still bothered. Kalamiphile
Aw come on Sue, be positive, that pass thing means we can go wherever we want, when we're not working to pay for mundane things like food.Actually for me, 40 was better than 30, 50 better than 40 and am finding that as I really have stopped giving a damn, 60 is getting better all the time!
