Talking of expensive, I couldn't believe it when told that the CPT now wants 3.80 for a pint of Star! Just too much. I'd rather they replaced it, even though I like it, as I don't want to drink Stella.

Definitely better in bottles, but still not all it's cracked up to be, and definitely too expensive.

I thought he was generally okay too, and tried to be friendly, but then he went on some site to try and get a load of kids to help him bring the forum down, and actually mentioned me and a couple of others by name. He seems to hold on to grudges. I think it's because I never let him have a go on my guitar.
  4. I'll admit that the amount of games means that I just don't seem to get as excited about it as I did a couple of years back.
  5. As does mine. Who will make him pie and mash when he comes home from a gig now?
  6. ... Daredevil? :-S
  7. Er, I just missed a page of posts, so that probably didn't make sense.
  8. I heard that too Moos, Chas was on the radio yesterday or the day before. H was saying that he hoped Dave may decide in a year or so to come back...
  9. Mick, wasn't that film called ID rather than IQ? Are we talking the film with Shadwell as the made up team?
  10. GigGirl, I agree about Killers Live. Most animated member was the drummer when I saw them in 2004. Thought they'd have gotten better on stage by now, obviously not.
  11. Good to meet several of you guys tonight, and lets do it again, although somewhere other than CPT perhaps, as it's slightly close to home for me in more ways than one! Enjoyed talking to people and feeling like I'm not the only one :)
  12. Arctic Monkeys anyone?
  13. Killers first album definitely had lots of influeces, 80s british pop, but can't say as I heard any U2 in there myself.

  15. Shit, that was me, sorry I forgot to mention borrowing your card :-$
  16. I was very lucky in the first 3 months to be doing a job that basically involved very little hours, so got to be at home so much. It made it horrible when I changed contract and had to be 9-5 again though :(
  17. Agree on Led Zep, and Pink Floyd, although I can forgive them quite a lot for giving us Wish you were here, I love that song.
  18. BBW, whenever I hear Lady in red, which thankfully isn't often, I'm taken back to the backseat of the old banger my dad was driving down to Devon, sat in the back with my sister and the dog, asking if we were nearly there yet.
  19. Flapjack, there are plenty more, I was just pointing out that even a great band comes out with a few dodgey album fillers.
  20. I hope you're wrong, but did have a bit of a feeling when I saw the fixture.
  21. Dylan has written some greats, that others have improved upon. He just shouldn't be allowed to perform his own work.
  22. Now that I agree with. Basically, I am not at all against the cinema. I am not particulary for the church either. This may not have been the place for it, I just feel that there is an underlying, sometimes unpleasant anti religion thing going on, and although I wouldn't call myself religious, I was raised that way, and feel quite defensive of some good people, whom I feel are ridiculed needlessly by some people for no good reason other than to show that they are somehow intellectually superior. Like I say, I've probably picked the wrong place for it, so my bad.
  23. Ha ha, show me a genius Beatles song, and I'll show you yellow submarine.
  24. Radiohead, Pete Doherty (even gig the libertines did a decent album), Razorlight.
  25. Yeah fair enough, but a lot more of our taxes get spent on other things that I'd say are an equal waste. Anyway, please don't think I was suggesting you hadn't read up, you obviously have. Sorry if it looked as though things I've said on here have been directed at you personally, they genuinely haven't. I just disagree with you that is all.
