  1. I was interested to hear on the radio this morning that it seemed to be more West Ham "fans" starting the trouble. Suspect guilty parties on both sides, but to actually break through a police wall, why???

    Gin Palace, classic.
  3. I know, but I didn't want to steal Matthew's thunder.
  4. Blast it, that annoying forum thing has happened, when you click on a thread, and it takes you to a page from about a month ago, because there has been a glitch in the matrix. Oh no wait, it's just the same conversation on repeat.
  5. Yeah probably. Plus he'll be totally gutted about missing most of the ashes.
  6. Oh, tw@ts. I thought you meant they were saffas. Well I think half is generous, pretty much everyone involved with football is a tw@t, but it's still fun to watch. Cricket on the other hand is a game for less tw@ttish behaviour.

    Scotland?

Hell Yeah! Whiskey, deep fried Mars Bars, and filthy, yet pretty girls. This sounds like the best holiday ever!!!!!!!

Don't know if it's the same guy, but one of them drinks regularly in the CPT at about 10 every night.
  9. KP, excels at it, Trott has yet to reach some tw@tty heights, and hopefully won't. Is Piers South African too then? I'm confused.

    Scotland?

Good call! Marianne Faithfull style*? ;-) * just a myth according to her, and more importantly, Keef Richards. If he says it didn't happen, that's good enough for me.
  11. What annoys me is that our MPs are using it. I have no problem with people teeting (?) away. I use Facebook, so will not be judgemental. However, it annoys me that you can't really say much. It just feels like it's designed for teenagers using that God awful text speak. And for this very reason, when I turn on the radio in the morning, and hear that some big name polotician has responded to a major (and important) news story via Twitter, it makes my blood boil.
  12. So what, he's a tw@t.

    Scotland?

Unless it's a special occasion. I want to visit Scotland, never been there, and would like to. Have met a fair few really pretty, yet completely filthy Scottish girls, so the place has plenty to offer! :)-D
  14. Hope not. Tw@t. Who needs him huh?
  15. Everyone should head to Rotherfield (near Tombridge Wells, and attend Rotherfest 2009! You know it makes sense!

    Scotland?

It would be a better place if they would just publicly hang Alex Salmond (and I am very very anti capital punishment, but for this guy I'd consider an exception).
  17. As an aside, I rewatched the thick of it recently, and there is a moment when the minister says something along the lines of "it could be worse, I could be a nonce"... Strange how life immitates art.
  18. Agree with everything you just said. Unfortunately though, stamping feet and shouting yanks out, won't make any difference. They have thick skins, and I fear we're stuck with them. Being honest, I wouldn't shed too many tears if Rafa went, I like him, but find him a bit too stubborn. My concern would be that some players might go with him to Spain.
  19. Really? I really enjoyed it, although it's very full on, and I think it works better as half hour, or maybe an hour, episodes. By the end of the film I couldn't wait to get out of the cinema and breathe!
  20. Fair enough, I just get defensive about social service stuff on here, as it's taken a few beatings, and I seem to be the only one from that world sticking up do it. Although I always like to point out that I am not a cardigan wearing social worker!
  21. Never saw last night, crap result, but bit early to completely write a team off isn't it? I seem to remember Man U being written off more than once in the last couple of years after bad starts. That said, something needs to be sorted asap for the pool. As a friend said to me last night, they look flatter than the average pancake.
  22. Anna I have to take you to task slightly here, as you seem to be doing your best to put a wide line of distinction between NHS, and all other public sector, and I think that is wrong and unfair. Of course everywhere is a bit different, including one heath trust from another. However, whenever Mrs Keef talks about her experience in the NHS, it rings very true of what I experience in social services, and what she experienced as a teacher. I disagree that the philosophy is particularly different in the NHS, based on my experience, which is of course, different from yours.
  23. Can I just say that a lot, if not most, of public sector workers could be earning a lot more doing similar jobs in private sector. Surely the perks like pension and leave, just make up for the lower salary. I gave up my safe permanent public sector job, and now earn quite a chunk more as a locum. I'd accept lower pay in return for some perks, I don't see what is wrong with that. I just wish the NHS were paying my missus maternity, so I could actually enjoy my higher pay! Grrr!
  24. It's been a year already? Bloody hell.
  25. Mrs Keef reckons you just rock up to the bandstand.
