Monty has scored a half century in test cricket, and his rear guard action saved up in the first test. And that wicket, which everyone said was good for spin, was shit! He's not been in great for, but I'd still have him over Swann.

I think Monty is a better bowler. GigGirl, yes we won, and please enjoy the Aussie baiting! Piers, tell me about it! We were being filmed, and it was fun but tedious, and I would have preferred to have been sipping a cold pint in the sunshine outside the CPT, whilst keeping an eye on the cricket. On the bright side, it could have been 13 hours, at least we got away by 9 rather than 11, which was the original plan!

Can't believe I'm saying this about a Man U striker, but I was pleased to see Owen score a classic Owen goal this weekend. Problem for him is that all the other England strikers are also doing well. I'd still pick him ahead of most of them.

So gutted, I spent 11 hours in a horrible rehearsal room yesterday, missing beautiful sunshine, and the bloody ashes!

Hornimans are playing Moulin Rouge this Thursday evening, I'll be going to that. Nice evening, women in lingerie, and a great view, what more could I ask for.

Quids, the pensions are not what they were, and lots of people are losing out. I know that's still better than a lot of private sector stuff, but we're not all assured big final salary pensions.
