Okay, I know after reading this, a lot of you will just think that I am totally naive, but I have never been sure I believed all the allegations about MJ. With Glitter, it's cut and dry, he's a nonce, but MJ, I'm not so sure he was. Basically, I believe he acted "inappropriately" towards kids (there is no smoke without fire), in a way that an adult never should, but I always wondered if in his world, he was just having fun and playing (in a non sexual way) with them. I think that he was a big kid in a way, and his world was so so far removed from our every day reality, that he probably saw no wrong in having a sleepover with a bunch of kids. Like I say, I'm sure a lot of you will think "have a word with yourself Keef, he was as guilty as OJ, a dirty peado through and through", and maybe you're all right, but that is just the way I look at it. We'll never really know for sure. I did always think though, that if someone messed with my kid, no amount of money in the world would buy me off! Anyway, Thriller was an absolute tune, "Wanna be in my gang" wasn't.

Watched The Proposition the other night. Was very good, in a very bleak way. Visually stunning, it's an Australian Western basically. Good performances all round.

Thing is, yes lots and lots of people died yesterday, but we didn't know them from Adam. This is a "public figure", and one that led such a bizarre life in the media, it just seems odd that he is not alive anymore. Does that make sense? :-S I had heard that he'd been ill, but must have missed lots of stories, as I had no idea he was that bad. I don't know, Thriller is a great album, and there were a couple of high points on Bad, like "Man in the mirror", "Dirty Diana" and "Smooth Criminal". Definitely went Waaaaay down hill after that though.

That was my first thought GG, thought maybe he'd do a "risen again" kind of stunt... To be honest though, I suspect he is just dead.

Just got a text from my friend telling me, and thought it was going to be some rude joke or something. Feel really shocked and weird, he has been a huge celebrity for one reason or other all through my life. Well, without wanting to sound corny, I hope he has found peace or something. The man was clearly not well, whether or not all the worst allegations were true. Wrote some absolute tunes though!
