    January Detox

I have had a couple of very very excessinve weekends in more ways than one since New Years, so maybe a Feb detox.... Unlikely!

The death of poor young Heath Ledger reminded me of a seriously guilty pleasure of mine..... 10 Things I hate about you :-$ But come on, it is Shakespeare :-S
  4. I'm still way back on series 1, and really really enjoying it. Still, I have to say that I think you're all getting carried away. It is just a TV series, and whilst it is ooozing quality, it is still just a TV series, and I want to know how you guys are so sure it's so real? Are you FEDS, or dealers, or corrupt business men? I've seen all the same poolease stuff in other films and shows. Like I say, I am really enjoying it, and it stands out as very good, but for me, from what I've seen so far, it's in no way superior to The Sopranos and 1 or 2 other series that have stood out. It does however spunk on the likes of CSI and all that sh!te, the popularity of which I have never gotten my head around!

  6. Oh come on Mockney, surely worth it for the whammy bar use in the guitar solo alone!
  7. Yes, Adebayor did seem very keen on getting himself sent off towards the end, very odd behaviour. You're probably right about Chelsea, but I hope not, as I could imagine a Spurs Vs blue toffee nosed scum final being a decent match!

  9. Yeah, why not gravy, it would be a huge winner, I'm certain!
  10. Enjoy this Jah!!! >:D
  11. Yeah, Fulham were some stiff competition too! ;-)

  16. Yes Bellenden did, so I explained myself really quite clearly, and you still didn't get it. The police thing was a joke, you have a short memory. I don't wish to row with anyone, and I shall say nothing further on this thread for the time being, but I stand by my claim that you take things far too personally... You have even done so on a thread about directions for God's sake! If I have offended I appologise.
  17. With the exception of "over priced", I stand by what I said based on my limited, but not non existant, experience of the place. However, I am very impressed with the way in which they have responded. If you took the time to read the last post I wrote on here again without being quite so holier than thou (something you do seem to find hard, but that'll be something you picked up in your police days I suspect), I wasn't having a go at anything anyone had said, and even made a point of saying that I didn't doubt any of it. I was just saying that it must be quite hard to come on here and take the critisism, and that fair play to the owners for that. It has also made me think twice about slating a place so freely. Stop being so f**king defensive about everything everyone says on here, I wasn't aiming anything at you, so chill out!

  19. Hmm, fair play Atila, like I say I didn't see it, but was basing my comments on this from the BBC. "Liverpool and Benitez badly needed a win and after a scrappy opening they went ahead, the goal brilliantly created by Kuyt, who has come in for some criticism for his displays this season. The Dutchman received a Steven Gerrard pass with his back to goal 18 yards out, turned and played the ball through to Benayoun in one movement and, after the Israeli's initial shot was blocked, he reacted quickest to turn in the rebound. Villa's attacking threat was being curbed by their own failure to stay onside and they were nearly punished at the other end again when Kuyt neatly laid the ball off for Aurelio to rifle just wide from 15 yards." It's a really strange one, I hate these knobs who claim to be Liverpool fans, but call for Rafa's head. They have short memories. However, some of his stuborn tactics frustrate and confuse me! He is generally popular with the fans, but so was Jol, and I doubt that many Spurs fans are still missing him...

May take you up on that, but have some serious Metroid gaming to do before I allow myself to get sidetracked again. You could well be right about the game working better in 2D. Even at the time they seemed somehow retro, but were so charming.

  22. atila the gooner Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Isn't it funny how the much maligned Crouch saves the day yet again. If I was in his shoes I'd hand in a transfer request and get myself to a club where I would be in the starting line up every week. He deserves it. I know what you're saying, but he's tasted the champs league, and where is he going to go where he gets to play in that competition? I think Torres is Number 1 for obvious reasons. Kuyt hasn't been his best recently, but I like him, and apparently he was one of our better players last night, and did very very well to make the first goal. I think Croutch should be fighting him for the place... What really annoys me is Veronin seemingly being up in the pecking order, don't think he's up to it at all! As far as tonight goes, good luck to both, shoulkd be a good match. Guess I'm leaning towards Spurs, as it's their mest chance of a cup, but may the better team win!

The Seacow obviously did go down the pan, and now they are openly trying to listen to customer feedback. I was just meaning that it's very brave of them, and it must be hard to take all this on the chin, even if it is true... I remember when someone may have said something just a tiny bit negative about a certain shop on the Lane, the owner of that place certainly didn't take it well, and started kicking off!
