Exactly right (*bob*)! Some of them probably are little power crazed arseholes, but most of them are just people who needed a job, and got a job. Calling them scum of the earth is bang out of order. Do you call bin men smelly scummers because they deal with your rubbish?

I'm with you RE: India Vs Oz! I was so chuffed they stopped them getting the record, just wish they'd stopped them one test earlier so they couldn't even claim to have matched it!

France and Italy are much more family centred / friendly places geared more towards kids. Has anyone ever noticed that when in your average pizza express which is usually crammed with kids, the Italian staff will usually make a fuss of every kid in there! Cultural difference.

Well no big surprises last night, Spurs will indeed meet Chelsea... I think they will be more heavily supported than ever before in that final! In other news, Ferguson actually sticking up for Rafa... well sort of. He's bloody right though! (it pains me so much to say that)

I have had reason to be leaving earlier and getting the 6.58 or 7.18 from Sydenham, and can't believe how busy they are! Leave slightly later and there are trains galore, but before 8 it's crap!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Actually I can't go too mad as I've agreed to do freelance work on Saturdays for the next 10 weeks :-(

Accidents do happen, but one has to generallise somewhat in this kind of debate, else one gets blinded by the circumstance of am individual, and loses sight of the bigger picture.

Exactly right Bob. There have been programmes about that fella who has loads of kids and gets more benefits than anyone else in the country, and refuses to work, and he deserves a slap, plain and simple. But, it's not as simple as that, and many people are on benefits because they either can't find work, or because they literally would be less well off if they worked, and lets face it, on one is going to want to work all week and have even less money to spend. Unfortunately though, we can't give benefits to the nice people and withhold them from the piss takers, so we're stuck.

I have to admit, and I don't think this makes of a bad person, that I do get annoyed by people who boast about the fact they'll get a council house cos they've grown up in one, and they'll scan another one cos it's their right. Fair enough, it would be nice if there was council housing for all, but there isn't, and I don't see why some people think they have a right to something whilst I have to pay a shit load of my wages for it... Not flaming, but not really to do with Teen Mums, so ignore me.

In all seriousness, Mrs Keef has commented that often these kids with all their junior bling and smart clothes, seem to have not eaten anything since the previous days lunch... Guess some people have different priorities. I heard a girl on the bus in Eltham telling her mate she was getting some wicked new shoes (for her) because the child support was coming on Thursday... I really really wanted to punch her in the face!

To Cassius and Lizzy, I think times have changed. When I was at school I was a real free dinners / hand-me-down wearing kid, got to go on a couple of trips, but missed lots too, and it wasn't nice. I certainly wasn't kitted out in labels, and I did feel ashamed about the free dinners, especially when I was maybe 11 - 14. However, Mrs Keef often comes home from work at a primary amazed at how lots of the kids always have flash new gear, and the parents are all weel dressed, and driving flash cars, but obviously not working...

"If teenage pregnancy rates are to be reduced there must be an open and accepting attitude towards teenage sexuality, appropriate sex and relationships education, widely available information and easy access to confidential contraceptive services. International research has found these factors to be present in countries with low rates of teenage pregnancy." A key point, I remember buying condoms for the first time... Think I would have felt less embarrassed buying a porn mag!

Hopefully we can do that without glassing each other at the next forum drinks... :-S

Interestingly, a friend of mine who is a forensic scientist told me she loved CSI when it came out because it was so accurate! I couldn't comment, but that's what she said. I don't want to do a Sopranos Vs Wire thing, as you can't fairly compare them, and there are A LOT of HBO style similarities going on! Sopranos is effectively a family drama/comedy.

Oh chav, I really do think you're great, but sometimes you do talk such a load of absolute shite! You ask Gerry to supply facts to back up his claims, which is fair enough, but most of your posts come from your previous experience, or that of your daughter. Now that is totally understandable, and perfectly valid as an example, yet to use it as an arguement about teenage motherhood in general is a nonsense. She is one person, who has made her decisions, and fortunately, they have been right for her, and she has great support. However, that is not a fair sample on which to draw arguements about teen mums in gebneral. You bring up class at every given opportunity, and seem to ignore the fact that the class system you describe is obsolete. You said to me face to face once that you'd call me middle class, yet I could argue that within the class structure that you're using, that I probably come from one of the most working / under class backgrounds of anyone on here. It's all just a meaningless propaganda tool! Finally, "late parenting" has nothing to do with class, there are many reasons someone may be pushing 40, and only just be ready for their first kid, or pushing 40, and keen to have number 5. I also would have thought that being a "lady warrior", you'd encourage a woman who wanted to go out and have a career, or do whatever before having her children. I am not anti young mums, but some of what you have said on here today has touched a nerve.

Never got in to Heros simply because I couldn't work out where I was as it was shown about 5 times a week at different times on different channels. I used to be in to Buffy and Angel though, so I'm not above anything! Like a say, Wire is obviously class, and I know you liked a bit of Sopranos. Just find this thread quite funny, as I've never seen grown men (Sean) salivate over a TV programme in quite the same way before ;-)
