Just like the Bishop (which doesn't serve good food - but does serve basic food - and that is served in a more basic > fashion). On the "What is happening to the CPT?" thread, the suggestion seems to be that serving food would save it... so what's the difference? I think the difference is that the Palmerston and Franklins are places you'd go to to sit and eat. Not somewhere you'd go for a beer and then think hmm I might have a plate of chips.
No I haven't, and my #1 eyeball (?) wouldn't know anything about such units, so there wouldn't be a lot of point. But hoe loud would they have to be to keep all these houses awake at night?
I've avoided this thread so far, as the thought of the CPT closing fills me with an unparalleled dread! The fact is, that whilst you're totally right Sue about the lounge bar and the plant things outside, the owner simply won't spend a penny on it, she wants rid, and that's that. I was actually sitting at the bar in the public bar on Saturday, so probably saw you.
I'm sorry, but I have my doubts about all thee people being kept awake, it just sounds like any old excuse. Huncamunca, your post is great, it takes, and attacks, every single side possible, how do you do that?
Good on the Yilmaz guys, they've done their time being abused by pissed arseholes over the years, nice to see that they can now chill out a bit and run a nice place. I may have to go in soon for a meat feast... May have to leave Mrs Keef at home >:D< I will miss the kebab shop bit, as it was always my preferred choice, but this will be great for kebab & wine's business, so everyone's a winner!
Agree that he'd have to be up there, but like you I'm not a huge fan. Another very talented musical mind is Elton John, but with the exception of Tiny Dancer I don't really like any of his stuff either.
Maybe someone should print off all the threads about the place and post then through the door before opening. Would love him to hear what people think of him and his bar. The place has the potential and the location to be something awesome!
I feel genuinely sorry for him, he scored pretty much everytime he got a game at Real, but still wasn't glamorous enough to get a starting place. He then got talked in to joining Newcastle by another striker who should have gone to a better club in 96. Now even Keegan feels sorry for him because he's getting no service! I still rate him, but he's the type of forward that needs feeding with decent balls from midfield.
Katie are you primary? Mrs Keef has worked in a few Greenwich schools. I wish my office was glitzy, believe me, I do everything I can to be in it as little as possible! ;-)
