  1. I'm sorry, but "Your mum" will never get tired! Chav has now got a day job, so I'm not quite getting you. You obviously find chav and her attitudes to certain things distastefull, which is fair enough, each to their own I say. Why don't you do the same, and just ignore chav's posts and take part in other bits of the forum.
  2. I was just going to arrive stoned and drink absynthe
  3. Try not to sound to "rude girl", and don't blame it on the class system ;-) You'll be fine, just don't let her wind you up, which she will probably try to do. She will probably also go in there believing that she is more intelligent than you are... Letting her believe this for a while could work to your advantage!
  4. Aunt - c**t. Almost sent a very bad text to a friend when saying I was sorry to hear about his aunt (after she'd passed away).
  5. I've been there. Amsterdam was much more fun last time I went, and avoided everything touristy, and went clubbing with all the locals (my cousin lived there) it was awesome!
  6. Long December - Counting Crows
  7. I turned 8 in 1986, and have a clear memory of sitting in the CPT with my dad and his friends as they discussed football. I must have been 7 at the time, as I clearly remember saying that Liniker would be the best player at the world cup, so it was obviously before that. No idea why I felt the need to share that, but it just popped in to my head. Bookworm Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > To be honest, I think the Ninentendo DS and PSP are worse than TV. They are really addictive and because they are portable, are taken everywhere. We've had to restrict usage on those too. Agree, I always liked computer games, but these days they are designed to be very very addictive, and the hand helds don't help. Mrs Keef's 7 year old nephew was round ours the other week, and was just blanking everyone that tried to speak to him because he was so involved in his PSP... I swear I had to leave the room or I would have taken it off him and thrown it out the window! (or just nicked it and played it myself after he'd gone). I hate playing games with kids that age too. They always chose the games that they can't do on their own, so you have to basically do everything for them, or they chose the game where you have to let them win, and they start getting all cocky... I hate myself when I am determined to give a 7 year old a severe beating (on the game!!!!!) just to wipe the smile off his smug face! I'm not sure I'm going to be a very good dad :-S
  8. Exactly what Citizen said. I have had some great nights in there (a long time ago), as have some of the NTV crew. It was all ruined by the attitude of the owner/manager, but if a big crew of us were there it could be fun, and it serves til 2, so no groups of us standing cold on the street at midnight wondering where to go next. Come on, if it's that sh!t, there are plenty of other places we can go to. Anyway, another time perhaps, Uplands 29th?
  9. Where exactly is the line between acoustic singer/songwriter, and folk? Was in the Bedford in Balham last night, and heard some nice stuff that I would say was folky.
  10. No, you're spot on, I was messing.
  11. I live in Lewisham!
  12. Good Idea!
  13. We must have exactly the same IT systems at work, because you also get flickr barred as a match making site. Knowing Greenwich they probably asked Southwark to burn them copies of their software disks ;-)
  14. Exactly right... We could one day take over the whole of Inside 72 like we did with The Drum that time... Only problem is The Drum was basically empty until we arrived, whereas we'd have to get in to Inside nice and early or we'd stand no chance! I might get shot down for this, but a forum drinks is probably the one thing that would get me in to The Vale. At the end of the day it would give us a chance to see what it was like lately, plus we'd have a big group of us together, and we could even have a boogie if we so desired... :-S

Well someone was looking out for me, I'm back baby! Very odd, a lot of random sites were being categorised as "Proxy Anonymizers", so I guess they were working on the internet security / firewall, and got carried away. All seems well now though, touch wood... Funny how whatever sites get blocked, facebook and myspace always seem okay... Suggests what the priorities of the IT nerds are ;-)
  16. Perfect, I'll encourage you with the guitar too.
  17. ... Don't let the forum be blocked at work! Access denied as the site is a "proxy anonymizer". Yeah right, just like flickr is a "match making site"... Please let this be a temporary glitch! (posting this from my mobile, but obviously can't sit doing that all day... My work productivity will pick up in a major way, but posting looks set to seriously decline :-( )
  18. Damn it, I was getting excited... Oh well, count us in for next week.
  19. LOL - I just think it's the players and the fans that suffer if points are deducted, and it's not their fault the club has been screwed.
  20. You follow me down - Skunk Anansie
  21. Always up for a beer!
  22. Woodgate has gone to Spurs. Think King and Woodgate could make a blinding pairing at the back if they can both stay fit!
  23. It's my life - No Doubt (they covered it but can't remember the original artist)
  24. Bring me to life - Evanescence
  25. Thankyou for loving me - Bon Jovi
