  1. By the way, I'm not particularly pro or anti monarchy.

And abolishing the monarchy would mean fair pay for the common man would it? Hmm
  3. Steady on PGC.
  4. With the exception of cars, are you insane?
  5. That is an impressive list, but I do feel that several people on it have not turned this down because they have any particular moral objection, but more because they think it makes them look cool. I would take it if I were you. Why not? You're not, I am guessing, some rich tory who's getting it because you're a rich tory. If they're offering you recognition for something you've done, then good on ya! I'd rather see a normal person getting honoured for doing something useful than a footballer for playing football
  6. Agreed Ratty! That's what I've tried to say on the numerous other threads about this. I don't really mind kids in pubs, especially in the day time. I do mind when parents let their kids run riot, and think if you take a kid in, you need to show responsibility for it.
  7. Beautiful Stranger - Madonna
  8. When ever I fall - Crowded House

  10. I'm pretty sure it's on the Lovefilm list. I seem to either really like or really not like French films that I watch.
  11. I'm lost Smile like you mean it - Killers
  12. Grrr
  13. Coming up from behind - Marcy Playground
  14. Night Train - Guns n'roses
  15. That's just it, it seemed like some sort of dodgy scam, and having asked you for ?5000.00, he obviously thinks the forum is a big money spinner. Either that or the poor guy got screwed over good and proper by someone, and genuinely got it wrong.... I seriously doubt it though.

  17. Watched "Tell no one" over the weekend, and it was bloody great! It was interesting watching this French film, as I had read the very American book 3 times, and had a real picture of the characters in my head, and could almost see it as a film. Then to watch the understated French style was very different, and I felt like I was watching a French re-make or something. Changes to the actual story are minimal, and only serve to save a bit of time, or else it would have been a very long film. All the important stuff and characters are there. Clever story, clever re-write for the screen, clever script... All round good stuff! (tu) For the record, Mrs Keef who hadn't read the book also thought it was very very impressive, but then she loves all things French so....

  19. YES!!! Little Britain is one of the most over rated and repetative things ever! I know characters have catch phrases that people want to hear, but they get so boring, which is why, much as I like her, I can't watch much Catherine Tate. Fast Show was far far better than Little Britain in my opinion.
  20. Love is all around - Wet wet wet (Love had run out after 15 weeks of this at Number 1)

  23. Agree about the other lagers Sean, but I do have to say that whilst Carling is horrendous, Carlsberg is as good as any of the other lagers of that ilk/strength, and they both beat Fosters hands down, as that is the mosy gassy pissy crap ever to have been served under the name "lager"! They seem to sell plenty of all of them though, but I stick with Grolsch. Agreed The Plough has a better selection, but they are also catering for a different crowd. It's like the wine in the CPT, people have complained, and they might get more people coming in if it was known for having good wine. However, I don't think it would really make a huge difference to their trade, so they don't worry too much. The girls have tried to get some better stuff in though.
