  1. F**king hell, Atila have you been on the happy juice mate?
  2. Under my thumb - Rolling Stones
  3. I was in Camden market once (approx 2001), when a shit load of naked people started walking sown the street shouting. It turns out that it was an anti fur / leather campaign. Not sure if they got the message across, but certainly made the market turn round and watch!
  4. Don't be bullied like that floater. Tell him to f**k off and talk about whatever you want!
  5. I hope so, and have predicted thus.
  6. That was me (that mentioned it), but that was before christmas, and they all seem to have gone now... I'll keep my eyes peeled.
  7. All these things that I've done - The Killers
  8. You're not helping yourself here! The other bob does pop up now and then, as does his missus. I've met them in the pub and they're very nice. Going back to the emoticon thing, I am trying not to use them so much, especially the ";-)". The main reason I do though is because I have been caught out before saying something I meant totally as a joke, and ending up having to convince a female friend that I wasn't interested in her in "that way". Sometimes it helps to just chuck a ;-) in.
  9. Annaj, you are my new hero. What a lovely reasonable post.
  10. Bad news Jah, Anelka has signed for Chelsea for ?15m in time to play against you on Saturday!
  11. You shook me all night long - AC/DC
  12. Wow, how did I miss all this, this is great!!!! atila the gooner Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > And too much xenophobia has rotted your diseased mind, you make racist comments and call it irony. You must be an egg chaser who thinks it's ok to go into any take away establishment and crack tasteless, Alf Garnett type jokes and expect to get away with it. Think before opening your mouth or posting remarks in questionable taste. Ironically, the Alf Garnett character was ironic, as Warren Mitchell (AKA Alf) is in fact a Jewish man who has had to deal with no end of abuse in his life, and was poking fun at all that. Just thought I'd throw that in there.
  13. Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne
  14. Lion in Zion - Bob Marley
  15. I'm sort of with sphillips here. Obviously I don't mind people chatting on the bus, but there are times when you get people who just won't stop for breath, and it actually makes me feel quite nauseous.
  16. This may be of very little use, but hopefully this play will return! In 2006 I went to see Blackbird http://blackbird.binarylab.com/images/main2.jpg starring Roger Allam and the wonderful Johdi May, who I have loved ever since she played Alice in Last of the mohicans http://images.rottentomatoes.com/images/user/profiles/41/172741/10243fc878f16ccb_p.jpg *swoons* such a shame poor Alice decided to throw herself off of a cliff seconds after the most beautiful look in film history! Aaaaanyway, the play deals with a disturbing subject, but was so so wonderfully acted, and made you question your immediate stereotyping of people in these situations. The direction and the acting were amazing, and I left there feeling like I'd seen something very very special! And normally I find the theatre rather boring to be honest. I really hope to get a chance to see this again one day. I could also imagine it being made for channel 4.
  17. baby one more time - Britney Spears

  19. Came home about 5:15pm on Sunday to find police all over the place following what I think was a stabbing on Sydenham High Street. If rumours are correct, the victim ran to the station to call for help on the emergancy line, so out road which leads to the station was a crime scene, and we wern't allowed in to our house, and were told we might not get back in that night. Luckily after several hours in the pub, the police were gone, and we were able to go and pass out! Then came in to work on Tuesday to a team meeting in which my manager announced he will be leaving. We asked where he was going only for him to look at my a bit weirdly before announcing that he would be going to the job that I was "pipped to" just before Christmas!!! Wouldn't mind, but he kept it totally quiet, and it sounds like it was a done deal before the interviews ever happened. He could have told me and saved me the bloody wasted day off for the interview!!! That one wasn't so weird, but thought I'd get it off my chest.
  20. Mr McGabhann has just lent me series 1, so will try to make a start over the weekend, or if not, definitely next week. I really hope I like it, as I am so skint at the moment I need something to make the beerless evenings in more enjoyable!

    bank charges

I've worked for a bank, and believe me, ?30-?50 was not a fair reflection of what they were paying me for my administrative work!!!
  22. That sounds like a bargain to me, snap it up!!! Or hire a fab 9 piece band! ;-)
  23. Don't say that Tillie, Mrs Keef would be dragging me there for tofu delights, and I couldn't bare it!!! ;-)
  24. I did have one of the nicest fillet steaks in the world ever there. However, that same evening, they totally buggered up the rest of our order and were quite rude about it, so never went back. The saddest loss on that strip was good old Hannah's.
