  2. No, filth applies to the law, everybody knows that.
  3. They are fugly, I'd go with the wrecking ball.
  4. By the way Mockers, I bumped in to BarryRoad over the weekend, just back from California, and sporting a very very sexy new Cannon compact 12 mega pixle beast of a camera, higher spec than his usual weapon of choice. Best thing is he paid about ?250 for it over there, and the cheapest he can find it for here is ?450.
  5. Full draw for the fourth round of the FA Cup Arsenal v Stoke City/Newcastle Coventry v Walsall/Millwall Oldham v Huddersfield Town Swindon/ Barnet v Fulham/ Bristol Rovers Wigan v Chelsea Luton/Liverpool v Swansea/Havant & Waterlooville Southend v Barnsley Southampton v Norwich/Bury Man Utd v Tottenham/Reading Portsmouth v Plymouth Derby/Sheff Wed v Preston Watford vWolves Peterboroughv Charlton/West Brom Sheff Utdv West Ham/Man City Mansfield v Middlesbrough Tranmere/Hereford v Cardiff We have to be happy with that assuming we can see off Luton... I guess Arsenal Vs Stoke/Newcastle, and Man U Vs Spurs/Reading are the ones that stick out, but nothing there looks particularly tastey... That said, there is a possibility of Shef U Vs West Ham, and that could be a tastey one... They definitely have the recent history!
  6. I prefer their XL Bacon double cheese burger! Is it just me, or have burger king closed half of their branches? I've noticed at least 5 closed in the last 6 months, including the one near my work which is rather annoying!
  7. Exactly the same Brendan. Mrs Keef and I have been talking about going, but she's veggie, and I hate fish, and am not really keen on offal, so we're a bit stuck.
  8. To be fair, I live even closer to a train line than these flats are, and I hardly even notice it, and definitely am not disturbed by it. We don't even have double glazing either. I'd live there if they were cheaper.
  9. Coming around again - Carly Simon
  10. Mockney, post the photo you took on holiday that I thought looked rather like Narnia. That was lovely.
  11. Back for good - Take That
  12. They showed Day of the Triffids on BBC 3 last year. Such a classic!
  13. The Crystal Palace Tavern, my favourite local boozer.
  14. Staff in the CPT are great! :)-D The staff in Threshers always seem really nice and friendly. William Rose... Not so much.
  15. Summer Lovin - John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John
  16. I just think that if you take your kids out, which you have every right to do of course, you shouldn't take it as a lisense to give yourself a break from them and let everyone else have to deal with / put up with them. Just keep them close to you, and if they start screaming and shouting take them away.
  17. Thankfully I didn't see the Liverpool match yesterday, but a fan I was talking to last night said we were woeful... Good on Luton, the replay will be good for them financially, but come on!!!

I watched that last week too, and thought it was really good. Shows things that we don't like to see, but that are happening all the time. Also, as grim as it was, it didn't glamourise the violence. Only problem was that, like Hotel Rwanda, the ending was a little too neat, and too happy... Typical Hollywood influence. CitizenED, I only just got round to watching Little Miss Sunshine, having been bought it for my birthday months ago. Absolutely loved it! I thought Hot Fuzz was pretty crap when I went to see it, but then I thought Shaun of the dead was crap when I saw it in the cinema, and then grew to love it, so maybe the same will be true of this... I think it helps to smoke first ;-)

Pickle, the Southwark Concert Band is very friendly, but I'm guessing KalamityKel has already told you that ;-)
  20. Yeah I was looking forward to Villa Man U, but ended up just chatting all the way through it as it totally failed to captivate. I agree about the team selections, and hope Liverpool field a reasonably strong side, if not the first 11. Lets not forget uton were 3-1 up against us last year!

Finally got round to watching This is England last week, and it was bloody great! I was worried that it would just be about loads of thugs, and overly violent, but the violence is minimal really, and it's not really about all that. Would basically agree with everything Piers said above, and add that there is some lovely comic relief and touching moments from the girlfriend character. Also saw the third and thankfully final Pirates film. Totally carried by Johnny Depp, and frankly, even he looks bored of it. Nothing much in the way of story line, and not really any good action of humour either. The worst of the bunch, and a shame, because I genuinely liked the first one. Next film I have coming from Lovefilm is Ten Canoes which I'm rather looking forward to. Still waiting to see Tell no one, and have even read the book for the third time in preparation. From what I hear it sticks to the story very well.

  25. I've only been once, didn't think much of it, and the worst thing was the noise.
