  1. Higher Learning not a very well known film, but I really recommend it! Also Stigmata, because there is a scene when the main character just realises what a hopeless situation she's in. Going back to the original post, I LOVE Cool Runnings! I see pride, I see power, I see a bad ass mother who don't take no crap off of nobody!" "Once again!" ;-) Seriously, give Higher Learning a try.
  2. I love the beat to 50cent's In da club, but then I remember I'm not a gangsta, so I go and sit down and get more drunk.

  4. Mrs Keef insists on buying recycled, but whenever I'm doing the shopping on my own I'll sneek in something a bit kinder to the arse!
  5. Just seen this thread, I'd be up for a wine tasting. Also, if anyone is interested in learning about where the wines come from, and how they've made made through the ages, as well as tasting all sorts of wines from around the world (including a very bizarre Indian red that frankly tasted like kebab meat), then I fully recommend a visit to Vinopolis on Clink Street. When I went (a good couple of years ago), it was ?12.50 to get in which included 5 tasting tickets, but then you could buy strips of 5 more for ?2.50. I wasn't sure about it, but really enjoyed it!

    Quiet room...

*Walks in exhausted after a long day walking around London looking for rings* *Makes mental note not to leave everything to the last minute in future!!!!* *Hands DM a small gift wraped box......* *Pours a very very large drink!*

Congrats!!! Hope all are well! :)-D
  10. Remember my sister and I going to see my mum in there in the early 90's, and thinking then what a shabby sh!t hole it was (nice building yes, but come one!). The Sister on the ward thought that my (older) sister and I were twins because we both had long hair and leather Jackets on. My sister was not impressed. We then went for a pint and a game of pool in the Foresters... I was about 14.
  11. I'm getting my predictions for the weekend in early as I may forget otherwise what with a couple of things going on... Birmingham 1 - 1 Wigan Chelsea 2 - 2 Man City Man U 3 - 1 Boro Portsmouth 2 - 0 West Ham (sorry Piers) Reading 1 - 2 Newcastle Sunderland 1 - 0 Fulham Bolton 0 - 2 Villa Derby 1 - 3 Everton (Booo) The Pool 2 - 2 Arse (I guess I'd be happy with that, although I'll obviously be hoping the pool can pull a win out of the bag). Spurs 1 - 2 Blackburn (Sorry Jah, hope I'm wrong on this one too, if they can get a win in Europe, it may spur them on... see what I did there).
  12. Not the way we're playing at the moment... Although we usually play well in the bigger matches, hopefully it'll be the kick in the arse that we really need in my opinion. Have to get through tonight first, we should manage it...
  13. This is probably one of the newer songs on this thread, but My Immortal by Evanescence is quite moving I think. I love Amy Lee's voice (and fancy the pants off her for the record).
  14. The Andrew Bird comment reminded me of when I first hear Anistasia *shudders*, I was expecting a Gloria Gaynoresque woman. Got quite a shock when I saw this speccy skinny blonde white bird.
  15. Maurice, stop being such a nasty tw@t.

  17. Justback on cookware, next time you do a booze cruise to France, get stuff there, it's way way way cheaper! I love crepes, and got my trusty crepe pan there, as well as several other pans that have outlasted loads of cheap tat in our kitchen!
  18. My home town is also sh!t, I just use their internet forum and pubs :)-D I don't usually agree with Maurice, but Why do people believe if they are born and raised in a community they have a right to be able to afford to buy a property there? Is a totally fair question, and that's from someone who is well and truly priced out.
  19. LOL!
  20. The thing is, if you see 2 10ish year olds walking along with a 3 year old (I can't remember exactly how old he was, but it was about that), you'd more than likely think it was their little brother, and 3 year olds often look distressed. Iused to work with one of the crime scene photographers who covered that case, and she wouldn't share details (I never wanted to hear them either), but she did say that it was worse than it sounded, and things were kept from the press. Difference here is that Venables and Thompson were 10 year olds, not 16 year olds. There is a world of difference. Now don't get me wrong, the Bulger murder was horrific, but I do think it would have been even more horrific had the killers been older, even if the result had been the same. Just my opinion. It was a horrible case, and opinions are divided. However, anyone who thinks these children should have been strung up, and that their parents deserved to receive death threats is a twisted person in my eyes.
  21. Get a wok, get everything you have left, chuck it in, add as many spices as you can find... Usually comes out nice... If not, cover in ketchup and eat it anyway. :-S
  22. According to reports, David O'LearyLittleSh!t is favourite to get the Republic of Ireland job after Staunton gets sacked later today. From this I can only assume that they don't intend on improving at all. Why would you replace one good formaer player who has failed in management with another?
  23. Excellent, it is now my mission to go and smoke on the pavement just by the seats outside BM.
  24. Mmmmmm Zombie Again, agree about the absinthe, but they are still awesome! In fact Jah, I do believe you gave me my first ever taste of one, and after that I had to have a whole one all to my self! :)-D
