  2. Bloke or not, I'm going to chip in. I believe that abotion should be available with minimum fuss and extra stress for the woman. However, I strongly believe that there should be an end date. I do believe that after a certain stage, a foetus becomes a baby before birth, and even if it's one in a hundred that would survive at 20 weeks, that's still one too many for me. Of course there are health implications, and if birth would harm the mother (more so than normal), or if the child would have a very poor quality of life, then things change. It's such a wide ranging debate, and I believe it's impossible to be hard and fast on one side of the fence or the other, without leaving yourself open to some serious contradictions. 2 friends that I can think of have had terminations recently(ish), and I must admit to feeling slightly annoyed with them (not sure what word to use other than annoyed) because these people had gone and had a good time (nothing at all against that by the way, I'm not a prude), not been careful, and gotten pregnant, which frankly there is no need for. I'm not against abortion, but I'm against it being the next best thing to contraception! Accidents happen yes, but where avoidable, they should be avoided. I also believe a bloke has just as much right to an opinion on this as a woman. Of course the woman's decision is final, it's not the bloke who is expected to carry and give birth to the child. However, I think women forget sometimes that the bloke will be effected by the decision too.
  3. "I try" is a beautiful song! "I try to walk away and I stumble" is the line that gets me.
  4. Arsenal 2 - Man U 2 (This is so tough to call. Arse are playing great footy, whilst Manc scummers are scoring like it's going out of fashion... Could go either way, and not sure what I'd prefer, draw sounds good to me) :-S Aston Villa 2 - Derby 0 Blackburn 1 - Liverpool 3 (I know this could be wishful thinking, I just think we're due a really good performance, and a win here would be really bloody useful right now!) Everton 2 - Birmingham 1 Fulham 1 - Reading 2 Boro 0 - Spurs 2 (Surely this is the place for Spurs to pick up some away points!) N'Castle 2 - Pompey 2 Wigan 1 - 2 Chelski (Wigan put up still opposition for Man U and Liverpool at home, don't think it'll be a walk over... That said, I thought Man City would give them a match!).
  5. I used to love my current job, I used to feel rewarded, and believe I was doing a good thing. Now I hate it with a passion, as much like in health and education, social care has become not at all about the people you're meant to be providing a service to, but all about ticking your boxes, and showing that you done an assessment and used the appropriate criteria to do as little as possible to actually make someone's life better. Having said all that, I did work in a very very scary bar in Liverpool where I feared for my life every shift!
  6. Come on CPT!!!! Of all places to lose to, don't let it be the Bishop for God's sake!
  7. With regards Moore, I basically agree with Piers' first post. If may be doing a good thing trying to uncover some of the shit that goes on, but he just comes across as a fat nerdy conspiracy theorist much like the guy who owns the comic shop in the Simpsons. If tries too hard to sensationalize (sp?).
  8. That used to always make me cry when I was a kid, loved both the original and the 70's versions. The recent effort was really poor though in my opinion.
  9. Exactly right! I'm all for supporting ex service men, and I usually year a poppy. However, as far as I'm concerned, the first duty of care falls firmly at the feet of the services themselves, and the ministry of defence.
  10. And that site has just reminded me of Sean ?Crocodile? Dundee... Now he was something special (although I don't think any fan expected much of him, so maybe he wasn't a disappointment as such).
  11. In case no Man U fans join in, I think Mr Veron deserves a mention! >:D< Found this page whch might be amusing.
  12. Well you already mentioned Anelka. I still rate Kewell, but the guy can't stay fit, so good or not, he's useless. Maybe he can get fit and give us one really good season... Maybe not. Cisse. Robbie Fowler's return quite literally was the second coming of christ if you listen to Liverpol supporters. Unfortunately the injuries and the years meant it couldn't be the dream we all hoped for. Was good to see him in red again though, and get a proper goodbye! Still think he has something to offer at Cardiff. I wonder is Charlton fans might say Danny Murphy... He had them top of the league, everyone was talking about an England recall, it didn't happen then it all went completely pete tong! Still think he would have been better off staying there than going to sit on Spurs' bench.
  13. I'm not so sure Ozzy was a pretender in his hey day! >:D
  14. "Kewell on the other hand...." Yeah and he's been a great servant for us ever since :-S
  15. I hear ya.
  16. I'm going to Ganapati on Thursday, and can't wait. Have been about 3 times, but not for quite a while.
  17. We'l have no trouble here!

Good call! One of the saddest things about the whole sad affair!
  19. Just seen the vid actually Piers. You take photos during the slow bit, then launch in to jumping up and down for the end! >:D
  20. Because everyone has fallen asleep watching them, thus leaving them incapable of fighting. I stayed up to watch the Stones do the half time at superbowl a year or 2 ago, and just couldn't believe how long the game went on for. It is basically a cool game, but it has far too many breaks, so 20 seconds left on the clock can last half hour! That for me just takes all the excitement away. Please don't make this an English Vs America thing though Gerry, it's really not, it's just opinions on a game. I can't stand Rugby League because it's too start stop, it just doesn't do it for me.
  21. Actually, something he probably learnt from Keef Richards as Guns N' Roses supported the Stones on tour in their early days.
  22. I started drinking it because my guitar hero Slash drunk it straight from the bottle! :)-D

    Good Luck Keef

Of course, complete with Mrs Keef I should think!
  24. No need to get all arsey correcting the man's grammar, and I can assure you, Ivemet wouldn't put up a sign saying anyone should "keep out" (except possibly the French). I personally don't want it over here because it's a fcuking boring sh!t game, end of! I do however think taking proper football over there is a good idea. They love rounders, and made that in to a national sport, one day they'll learn about football. Only problem is they don't like games with small scores, so well have to think of ways to make matches end 10-9 all the time.

    Good Luck Keef

Er, not really, I watched Liverpool V Arsenal in the pub on Sunday because Mrs Keef wanted silence to nurse her hangover... Result! :)-D Seriously though, I am really happy :))
