    Quiet room...

*Walks in to room and throws open windows (to reveal beautiful sunny day) to freshen the place up* *Places big table in the centre of the room* *Puts balloons and stremers everywhere* *Sets up band equipment in the corner..... Sticks paper over "quiet room" sign on door* *Hangs stunning ball gown on Japanese Screen* *Places huge cake on the table with "Happy Birthday DM" written in icing* *Checks the bar is fully stocked* *Mixes 2 large Zombies (sure Jah will turn up at some stage), and sits in lazyboy waiting for party guests to rock up*
  2. Well that was great, but has actually left me a little frustrated. If a team can produce performances like that, they need to be consistent. Okay so we weren't playing an Arsenal or Man U, but if we played like that consistently, we'd be up there with them! Anyway, great result, and should give them a boost.
  3. That's great!!! Mancs, bless 'em

Quite.
  5. Especially on a dutch bike. I tried my cousin's when last in Amsterdam, after a long night. I ver very nearly ended up in a canal as I forgot you pedal backwards to stop!
  6. Have to give a Big Up to Rosie in Grace & Favour, as I went in there the other day to buy a female friend a birthday gift. I being a bloke had no idea, and Rosie showed me various things that a lady of that age might like, and in the end the lady in question was (I think) pleased with her pressie, so cheers Rosie!
  7. That will definitely be the end of the CPT's chances :( Oh well, as long as we beat The Castle and The Unpland's to claim best pub on Crystal Palace Road, which we all know is the real heart of ED :-S
  8. Yes, definitely need an entertainment lisense, and rock nights! I'll bring my Marshall!
  9. Parked up by the lake and there was not another car in sight.
  10. Sweet! >:D
  11. Ganapati is South Indian, and well worth the walk to Bellenden.
  12. We all made you welcome though didn't we Tils?
  13. LOL Good point... Ahem, seriously everyone, the bar staff at the CPT are all mingers, don't go there ever :-S
  14. Glad you are Ladygooner... I'm not negative, but I get nervous in situations like this... We should be fine if the players are up for it. That's been a problem in a couple of recent games, they don't sem to have been really up for it (except the game against Arsenal, which is all very well, but you need to try and win the "easy" games too!).
  15. Pictre yourself on a boat on a river.
  16. Exactly!
  17. Mrs Keef going to get tickets tomorrow night, but if it's sold out (which I very much doubt), you may still see myself and Bagpuss...
  18. 4/10 for me too. To be fair, where are we supposed to have learnt all this?

But that's why I love it. It doesn't attract the 20-somethings on the pull, or the estate agents at the end of their shift. I've never had or seen any aggro in there, it shows the football, and you can always get a seat. Basicaly that's exactly why I like it too. > But saying that, the Bishop does have a couple of very attractive barmaids (or at least they seem very attractive after a couple of pints, which may not be quite the same thing). So does the CPT, or do you want me to tell Candice, Marie and Laura that you said they were second best to the Bishop girls? ;-)
  20. Yeah I'm thinking of subscribing too, as want to cut down on week night visits to the pub for health and wallet reasons. Last night's game did look bad, but the goal was well taken, I'll give them that. Nervous about Liverpool tonight, we HAVE to win to stand any chance, and so far we've looked sh!t in europe, which is odd, as europe is where Rafa has been at his best since arriving :-S
  21. No one can take away from The Beatles, but basically I go along with what Sean said. Lennon was the more annoying though, I'll give you that. Paul's attempt to get all classical was hilarious. Standing Stone if I remember rightly. A music lecturer I had at uni when I was doing my hobby (Alan) made us listen to it... What a total load of absolute sh!t.

    Small world

Mrs Keef was doing a month placement in Bordeaux during her teacher training, and I went to visit for a weekend. I was told to look out for this bloke on the plane who was going to meet his wife who was there with Mrs Keef. Anyway, I met this guy and we went for a beer whilst waiting for the girls, and it turned out his best mate went out with the daughter of one of my colleagues. I thought that was pretty weird.
  23. Hurrah :)-D Table footy, and a pool table (but not with a stupid winner stays on rule so you can never just have a game with your mate if like me, you're a bit crap), and a dart board, and decks of cards and board games behind the bar, and barmaids who can't resist the name Keef.... Is that all okay? God I almost want Anna to win the lottery more than me!
  24. Coriander sems to get very mixed reviews. I went once with Mrs Keef, and we both left feeling like we'd had a really lovely (if a bit slow to arrive) meal. but others have said it's terrible, so maybe we just got lucky, or maybe they do some dishes better than others (I had Lamb chops of some sort, it was a while back).

I'll bow to you on this then. I grew up on the street, and thought it was earlier than that (I was thinking late 80's) but there you go. Are you really sure? Mid 90's I was 17-18, and I'm sure I was a lot younger than that. :-S
