  1. Found THIS from another forum on which someone has posted an article from the Croydon Guardian. Looks like it is asbestos initially, but it was going to be closed from November for the heating/electrics refit. Not due to open again til June '08!!!!!! Annoyingly Mrs Keef and I were saying just last night that we were going to join a couple of classes there :(
  2. Damo, I agree that it's a nicer use for the building than a lot of other options. However, you have to admit it's pretty pricey. Edited as price includes exercise classes.

Probably Brockwell park (Hearne Hill), or Crystal Palace. Blackheath also does them, but they were pretty crap when I went 2 years ago. Used to do them on Peckham Rye when I was a kid, but got stopped due to too much crime if I remember rightly. Would be good if they brought them back!

  5. Danger Mouse, Anna that is a classic!!!
  6. The TV themes thread got me thinking about the programmes I used to love as a kid. Was looking through tv.cream.org and found some classics!!! Best cartoon ever!!! >:D< Closely followed by this. Couple of imports, , and And of course, . Grown up programmes... I used to absolutely love Dynasty, so many childhood crushes :-$ What a theme tune though! Anyway, just thought I'd share that.
  7. No need to say sorry to me, I don't support Spurs, just commenting on the radio commentry. You won't be top at the end of the season either ;-)
  8. Only heard it on radio, but feel sorry for Spurs, as radio suggested that Berbatov had put the ball over the line just before Arsenal's second! Robinson sounded dodgy in goal too.
  9. Come on Spurs, keep the faith, 25 minutes to go, don't lose your heads!
  10. Well Portsmouth did indeed prove a stern test for the pool, but still pretty happy with the point. Keep it up spurs, you're sounding good on the radio!!!!! Shame about that late Man U goal against the blue scum. 0-0 would have been good there!
  11. Lets hope so, another curry house would be such a waste of space... so long as it's not another estate agent ;-)

    Could you?

I think that would be pretty cool in a very bizare way! Better than the stinking things in Amsterdam that they put there to stop everyone p!ssing against the walls.
  13. Word to the mummy f**kers!

  15. I hate any bar that gives you your change in a silver tray, i really bugs me. I'm a big believer in tipping, but that just makes me make a point of taking every last penny back.
  16. Sax classic. Feel good BLUES. And

Zombie please bar keep *lays out cushions for inevitable fall later*
  20. Don't think it was 20 years Val, but the Sainsbury's must've been there a good 15-16 years, and I reckon Dave was gone within a year or 2 of it opening.

    Great Gigs

*Ahem* "One for the Bristol City, Two for the boys in red. Three for the fans down Ashton Gate we'll follow til we're dead me boys, we'll follow til we're dead!". Annasfield Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I love the Forum - it's one of my favourite venues > :)) I had to read that twice before realising you didn't mean this forum! :-$ Hate the Shep Bush Empire, but probably because it was the first place I experienced the no smoking ban! Acoustics in the forum have been great when I've been there, but that's only 3 or 4 times. Worst acoustics I ever heard were Ocean colour scene at Hammersmith, but I've heard other bands sound great there. I don't think it's so much the building's acoustics, I think it's the quality of your sound tech.

Can I have one please? Ant it's chocolate orange, mint is not mint! "Looks like weekend time to me!" *skips the light fandango*
  23. I really disliked Rooney when he got off the plane before the last world cup and said something like "the big man's back in town"... What a fecking gimp! Still, he's clearly not the brightest penny in the pund, he's been given a sh!t load of money, he's hailed by the tabloids as England's Saviour *shudders*, and he's hardly surrounded by decent grounded people with his best interests at heart, so the poor boy doesn't really stand a chance. Just compare him to Owen who burst on to the scene at a similar age.
  24. Come on Jah, we'll put it right together! :)-D Although I agree that we do our bit... Come on the rest of you, lets move to a canal barge and kill ourselves!
  25. Nah, Beethoven's over rated. Only managed 9 symphonies, and produced his best stuff when he couldn't hear anymore, which you could argue is selfish. Why should he inflict it on us when he doesn't have to hear it?!?!? Haydn's 26th "Lamentation" symphony, now that's a symphony, using the gregorian plain chant to great effect ;-)
