    Quiet room...

*Walks in and waves to chums, thinks to self that being bloated after curry last night was a good thing, as found drinking difficult all night, and feel fine today ;-) *
  2. Never been a huge Prince fan. However, Purple Rain to me is one beautiful song! Wouldn't mind seeing him perform live though, he's meant to be great...
  3. Damn it, why do I get paid on such a stupid day of the month!
  4. I am afraid Georgia, that I have gout in my feet :-$ , and yesterday it decided to attack my right foot again (having spent the last 2 months punishing the left one).... It's bloody annoying, and very painful!!! I don't even drink port :'(
  5. You should be okay Mike, there are a fair few people going from what I can tell, and it'll be nice to see some new faces..... :)-D I'm still hoping to make it down at some stage, but really don't know what I'm doing now, as I'm finding walking very painful right now, and my whole weekend looks dubious! :'(
  6. I love Martha's voice, but haven't yet heard enough to really judge her stuff.. Only heard a couple of things by Rufus, and not really my bag to be honest. As Piers says, nice to see you posting again BB.
  7. I couldn't believe it a couple of years ago when I was in Teneriffe with a couple of friends (I know I know), and there where about 3 RCB impersonaters doing the circuits..... and going down well..... That said, there were a lot more Northerners than Southerners there, and they're generally stupid..... ;-)

  9. He was fully bearded,
  10. Alas no, unless you flirt outrageously with a rich fella at the bar :)-D
  11. There was a quiet lad called Ant......
  12. Just going back to Izzard, to be fair, the Thursday nights at the EDT used to be for bigger comics to try out new material before taking it on tour, so that probably explains why it wasn't his best performance.
  13. Think Izzard was about 1995, possibly '96.... Pretty sure I was in 6th form (and thus slightly underage) at the time... :)-D Racial jokes in comedy are a tricky one... I love Richard Pryor and Chris Rock to a point, and part of the reason for that, is because I don't get the impression they actually hate white people.... Bernard Manning however, is just a horrid racists tw@t!!! I remember seeing him on The Mrs Merton Show (was that the right name? You know, Caroline Ahearne dressed as an old dear), and he basically said if he broke down and had to walk miles in the rain at night, he'd rather that than accept a lift from a black person!!! This was a few years ago, so maybe I've remembered that wrong, but I'm pretty bloody sure that's what he said! For that reason, when he makes a joke, you know it's based on a genuine recismm inside him (td)
  14. Fonson, I saw Eddie Izzard at the EDT, and you didn't miss much to be honest.... I also saw him a couple of years ago at Wembley Arena, and didn't really think much of that either..... Will he ever regain the form he was showing in "Dress to Kill", one of my all time fave comedy shows!!!!! I'm from Europe.... Where the history comes from! You, CAKE OR DEATH? >:D<

    Quiet room...

Ignore them for God's sake. The type of person who is being horrible on a blog would not have the bottle to even utter a word in public, they're all too two faced for that! *Remembers that this is The Quiet Room and stops speaking very loud... Makes apologetic gestures to inhabitants of the room*
  18. We'll scale the heights of fame with that name, I like it! ;-)
  19. Yeah, I'd be up for it another day, but I feel rough as f..k today, so won't be leaving the flat again now I'm home!
  20. Cool, I shall pop along one Sunday, but not this week, as it's the fair in the day, then I'll be at BarStory in Peckham playing guitar... See the whats on section... Everyone should come, it's a good cause! ;-)

  22. What's the Hob like Sean? Ron's am old friend of my dad, and his brother has told me a should take a walk up there with my guitar sometime... Haven't got round to it yet.
  23. Yeah cheers for that Fear! ;-)
