I've only had the roast dinner in there so far - and I thought that was pretty good. Oh - I forgot - I've had pizza too... pretty delicious! The upstairs is a really nice place to eat too... very eclectic!

People who stand in the supermarket queue for ages - then only when they have had their groceries put through the till - and bagged them do they start to look through there enormous handbag for their purse... spend ages, looking for it - checking every pocket.. pulling out all the junk for everyone to see - then finally locating it... Grrr - could they not have perhaps started looking for it whilst they were queuing..?! Oh - and bus drivers who stop the bus directly next to a litter bin or tree so you have to negotiate getitng on or off the bus like an assualt course!

Just wanted to add my 2-penneth (?!) and say although I was a little off-form last night (apologies there!) I had a rather spendid evening! I had the butter chicken - which although tasty was a rather scary orange colour - I think I have to move up a notch to the medium strength curries next time! Great to meet the new recruits too! I'll be looking forward to the next event - where hopefully more of us will be off the wagon - and we can have the post curry cocktail!

It's been a good year for me too - moved to East Dulwich in February, discovered the forum a month or so later and made some great new friends.. & I've met a lovely man too - in ED! Roll on 2008 - I hope great things await us all!

I too have been diddled by this lady - she came to the door about 7pm in the evening though claiming she needed money for the electricity and her son was cold.... saying she would pay it back in an hour when her husband returned.. she said she would show me ID etc so I thought she was genuine....I thought I had been really naive but I guess I'm not the only one... it's just horrible to think that these people put you off helping anyone else again....I'm a great believer in karma - so maybe she'll get her dues one of these days.... well that - or a hefty (cold) soaking!

Hi Mike & ED Curry Clubbers.... would love to join you in this venture but sadly can't do Thursday next week (I'll be on my hols!!) but hopefully I'll be able to do the next one! Let us know how it goes!

Just another note to add to say what a great time I had Friday night! Lovely to meet some new faces (hello Bellenden Belle/Anna J / Citizen ED / Barry Marshall) and all those I already know! Great venue too & what lovely friendly staff they were! Journey home was a tad wobbly though holding up an a rather tipsy Onion - I blame that SeanMcG for suggesting the whisky!Already looking forward to the Christmas bash! A x
