  1. Go to metacritic. It will give you a wide range of reviews and give you an immediate idea of the breadth of opinion, including gamespot and ign. Have you got a PC? Get old copies of baldurs gate and neverwinter nights. They'll give you a cople of hundred house of absolutely huge worlds with epic storylines for about six pounds each and they aren't graphically demanding at all.
  2. In all fairness as much as I do admire CM's stand against the use of torture at a time when too many poliicians and civil servants turned a blind eye to protect their careers, he's not exactly leadership material. A self confessed philanderer, adulterer, a borderline alcoholic, the tabloids would crucify him. A pity his integrity didn't stretch to being a good husband or father. And that book is painfully self aggrandizing isn't it. Don't know what caught out means when he as clearly framed in order to appease the yanks who are still happy to support the regime in order to keep that gas in their sphere rather than the Russian one. Georgia mark two there may just be a matter of time.
  3. William McGonagall When the moon is fair and roon the fishes swim fae Ayr tae Troon But when the moon is roon and fair the fishes swim fae Troon tae Ayr
  4. "environmental campaigner" I'm not sure arguing against wind power counts, but heh. Stevie V and Matt Oakley, err that's it; very slim pickings down my way.
  5. I met Mr Squirrels on Crack. Apparently it was an internal joke that accidentally got found by a shift editor desperate for something interesting to run with. It was never meant for the paper.
  6. Does the pope shit on the woods (well, only when he's shapeshifted into lizard form obviously)? Any slightly less controversial conspiracy theories than the lizard alien illuminati perchance? Area 41? Sincerely doubt it, can't imagine the enormous time, energy and expense that interstellar travel would cost and aliens turn up, harass cows and farmers, and then crash in the middle of nowhere, but nooooooooo evidence at all crops up (no pun intended) anywhere else; just doesn't ring true.
  7. Very good keef ;) It is all a bit 'my dads bigger than your dad' though isn't it. I thought your disillusioned post a week back is about the most sense anyone's posted on here in ages.
  8. Richard III had Edward and Richard killed in the tower, and that's a factoid, it's in that play innit. Actually it is the most obvious explanation so probably true. Jack the Ripper, any takers? I reckon Piers Morgan.
  9. cool, I'm sure you'll let us know.
  10. LOL. From dusk til prawn?
  11. Actually what happened to the big east dulwich awards voting?
  12. Mind you we did say celebrities. One isn't exactly famous and the other one seems to have disappeared so may have to ponder on this some more.

  19. True. Obviously scum but these are the thinga you have to do to break a cycle of violence. Hanging on to righteousness and anger and revenge won't break it. Conflict is easy peace is hard and tough compromises and unpleasant decisions must be made, but the price is absolutely worth paying surely.
  20. Just fine in the sense of a two year hiatus because of a nervous breakdown based upon her childhood experinces. Agree though that it wasn't right for a tired Sunday night. If we just make this a last night on channel four thread, did anyone catch 1066? I thought it was rather good at giving you a sense of what Britain would have been like. It never occurwd to me that Stamford Bridge really would have been that piddly!
  21. I take it that's a no to the pizza then...damn? Is your dad a thief? Cos he took the stars from the sky and...phhhzzz....blt.....BBBBBRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
  22. I think she's quite pretty but then I like till girls and barmaids and a little bit of honest arse. Jamie wonstone also cute but agreed sick to death of posh mockneys with famous parents jogging all the limelight. Kate bush, there was a fine looking loon in her prime!!!
