Some "jokes" just aren't appropriate these days. I don't have any appetite for getting into a long discussion about it. It will just go the same way as some other threads on here.

No of course I'm not the same Sue!!!! I have recommended Russell many times on here however, having been very happy with his service (and communication) in the past.

Used or unused? If unused, you could give it away?

If you "couldn't be around for his visit" - when presumably he would have told you his findings in person then and there - possibly he thinks you are a complete waste of his time!!!

Can you give some examples of "problems he finds when there aren't any" and also his "high' quotes and what you are comparing them with? I don't recognise Russell Perring at all from this description, and as for his being untrustworthy, words fail me.

Yes it's genuine.

The last ED Indian restaurant to do that closed down shortly afterwards. Shame, because the food was good. I can't remember the name, but it was on the stretch where the tapas place is now, I think.

Unfortunately they always seem genuine. That's why people give them money. I've done it myself, though in the street. They always have a very plausible story. It's annoying when you realise you've been scammed though.

Very sorry indeed to hear this, I haven't shopped there since the start of the first lockdown as I was getting everything delivered, but I will make a real effort to now. The people are lovely, the shop is lovely and the food is good, so please support them!

Bus stop outside east Dulwich picture house
Sue replied to sweetgirl's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I'm very surprised (oh OK maybe I'm not) that at a time of rapidly increasing infections in Southwark the council should have done this. Presumably they didn't have to. Surely the reasons for doing it in the first place haven't changed at all (apart from some people now being vaccinated)? It's convenient for me to have the bus stop back, but I'd still rather they had kept it closed until the Covid situation had improved considerably. -
Where to watch Euros on Wednesday in ED?

At least so the manager told us a while back. -
I got one too. I'm pretty sure it's genuine!

Lynne Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Yes,, 101 sent me to Kings. But the doctor there > said ti was something my GP should have sorted > out. No wonder the queues at A&E are so bad. It was appropriate in my case. I had to have X-rays so it would have been a waste of my GP's time. In fact the reason I phoned 111 was to ask if I should go to A&E or my GP Because I had an appointment I was seen very quickly. It must often be difficult to decide what's best for someone you are just talking to on the phone. Pugwash, I hope your relative gets the treatment he needs and feels a lot better soon. And can hopefully find a more supportive GP.

I have found 111 really helpful. They will make a hospital appointment for you if necessary without having to go via your GP. And a GP recently spotted an iffy mole when she was examining me for something else. I was referred very quickly and had a biopsy very quickly (all OK tg). Not everything in the NHS is bad! Though I've had my share of bad experiences as well ....

Bus stop outside Picture House - when will it return?

Or at least ask you to email them a photo?

Landlord was also a bit of a strange character > (based on the one dealing I had with him). It was an awful pub, and so was the landlord. There was a short time when a really nice and enthusiastic couple ran it, renamed it The Cherry Tree and brought in an excellent chef, but the owners chucked them out and it went downhill again 🙄
