I passed that on the bus and thought it was the existing shop selling houseplants and pots which had branched (no pun intended) out into other things. Are they two separate shops?
  2. Wouldn't it be better to raise this with M&S if it concerns you?
  3. Huge girders being carried into The Shop Previously Known as Londis this morning.

Two buses? I also live near Sylvester Road. I get the 12 from Barry Road if going to Peckham by bus (but I've not had to go to the delivery office yet, thank goodness).
  5. I suggest you google reviews of your shortlisted options before coming to a final decision.
  6. Are they the people who had a little cart in Lordship Lane over the Summer, getting people to sign up?

We are on clay soil here. Believe me, it dries so hard it would take a great deal more than elbow grease to break it up.
  8. But the email says "please tell your friends and family", not give the code to every reader of the East Dulwich Forum :)) ETA: I know this is the family section, but I don't think that's what they meant!

  13. teddyboy23 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Before the Irish shop it was video tape rentals > called sun videos Really? But there was another video rental shop where the big St Christopher Hospice charity shop now is. Were there two?

  15. Not sure what the situation is if the person owns the salon? Same?

You can also buy Inulin as a powder (derived from chicory). It is completely tasteless, you just sprinkle a teaspoon of it over food (or you can dissolve it in liquid). It was recommended to me by a hospital consultant, not for reducing cholesterol, just for general gut health. It's on offer at Holland and Barrett at the moment, don't know if Health Matters stock it? https://www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/product/bioglan-inulin-powder-60009726 ETA: A packet lasts for ages!
  17. I always feel totally embarrassed tipping my hairdresser, and so does he. In larger places I used to just leave it at the desk when I paid, but the place I go to now is really small. The trouble is it's sort of become a joke now :(

  19. Peace lilies are practically indestructible :)) So are spider plants and aloes. Don't know about the other one, but there's no way the first three won't survive neglect for a month at this time of year!
  20. It was a bit worrying when I went on the Bus Countdown app this morning and it said something like no buses for 30 minutes! ETA: Luckily a 185 came along in about a minute!
