Last Thursday lunchtime (about twenty to one) a Thames Water van was parked outside the primary school in Whateley Road. The engine was running and the driver was sitting inside apparently either doing paperwork or on his phone. I was in a hurry but I did get the registration number. On my way back, I noticed that he had been parked exactly next to a large sign outside the school asking people to consider the children and turn off their engines. I couldn't see this earlier as I was on the other side of the road, and he was parked in front of the sign. I am wondering what Thames Water's policy is on this, whether they instruct drivers to turn their engines off, and whether I should report him. What do people think? I am considering making up some flyers to just hand to people or put on their windscreens, so that I don't have to actually talk to them and lay myself open to verbal abuse.

That can't be right,surely, unless they intendto close the other one?

Sorry Tiddles, but many of the planted areas are not "lovely" compared to previous years. Go and have a look at the well maintained planted beds in the walled garden at Brockwell Park They are what I would describe as "lovely", not the weedy uncared for beds in Peckham Rye Park :( With just one or two exceptions eg the formal beds at the main entrance.

The whole park is a mess apart from the formal beds at the main entrance.

You can put the vehicle reg number into the ULEZ website and it will tell you whether or not the vehicle is compliant. Mine isn't. I had hoped there would be some exemption, or at least a discount, for residents, but it seems not. And no system for modifications for "normal" cars, either. Goodbye car :(

Not ideal on a crowded bus, but better than struggling with bags.
