Sorry to be dim, but I want to report somebody who has sent me abusive PMs. Can you tell me how I do this as it is different to reporting a post in a thread, thanks.

If you want to look at the comparative risk of being burgled you should compare police statistics. This is what the article says: MoneySupermarket.com analysed 3.49 million applications for home insurance quotes made between December 2011 and the end of November 2012. They looked at the number of users who said they had made a claim for burglary at their current address in the past two years. The number of claims made per 1,000 enquiries was then calculated, to allow areas to be compared.

This is one of the most bizarre threads I have ever read, and that's saying something :)) You bought something that was advertised as "hardly used". When you saw it it did not look "hardly used", but you still went ahead and bought it. Did you not question its condition and actual amount of use? And you paid ?30 for it even though you knew it had been advertised on here for ?20. Does something not strike you as not quite right about all that?

Presumably they can trace his correct address via the car registration number/s, so if you've informed the insurance company who sent it I'd have thought that was all you needed to do? Unless you think it might be somebody living in your road and the minion at the insurance company typed in the wrong house number .... in which case I suppose you could try knocking on doors .....

FFS. You bought something. It wasn't described as faulty - presumably. When you got it home you found it was faulty. Is that it? Did you ask to see it working before you bought it? Do you know how to use it? When you found it was faulty, did you take it up with the person who sold it to you and ask for your money back? If so, what did they say? Did they refuse? Or what? Why are you posting about it on here? What is anybody else supposed to do about it? Tallulah, :)) :)) :))

They are approved by insurance companies (mine anyway) and have the advantage that you can leave sash windows open a little way, either at the top or the bottom, when it's very hot during the Summer and you want to go out whilst (obviously) leaving the house secured.

Haven't been to the Plough for years so I have no idea what their menu is like now. All I know is that the new manager at the Dog, Jake, is young and enthusiastic and keen to do new things there (like live music). He told me that he had brought in a new chef. I haven't eaten there. If said chef is any good but isn't actually going to be able to do his own thing there food-wise then I imagine he won't stay long. But whatever the food is like, it can't possibly be worse than the appalling "Sunday roast" I had there some years back where the peas were like bullets and the "roast" potatoes were made to look roast by some sort of food colouring. It looked lovely - just tasted absolutely vile.

I agree the food there used to be absolutely dire (I once had one of the worst meals of my life there) but apparently it is now good. Haven't tried it myself yet so I can't say.

In my experience, some people generalise from a very small sample ..... I am not a Christian, however I have relatives who are, and I have in the past lodged with a Christian family and also had devout Christians as neighbours. I would say that some Cnristians are lovely, warm people who are a pleasure to be around and clearly follow whatever Jesus said. I would also agree that some Christians are petty, small-minded, and divisive. It has made me laugh to see churches split themselves apart - very Life of Brian, in fact, though that wasn't about churches but about politics. I have also seen a Buddhist centre split itself apart for similar reasons .... divisive factions developed. Yes it's a joke but people are human ..... But please don't make these generalisations and apply them to everybody in a particular group. It really isn't helpful.
