  3. I also agree. What agenda is behind this scaremongering? Not the first time on this forum, and never any hard facts to back it up.
  4. I live in a road off North Cross Road, and closing NCR would be very inconvenient if I want to wreck the environment by going somewhere in my car on a Saturday. NIMBY!! Edited to say: Actually I don't feel that strongly about it :)

They didn't live in it, as far as I know, just exposed all the roots of a shrub. I haven't seen any foxes in the garden lately, but there was a huge one a year or so ago, apparently terrorising a cat, or possibly vice versa. When I went into the garden it leaped over the wall.

They dug a very large hole in my very small back garden - I don't have a lawn - didn't store any food in it and didn't back fill it? :-S

  9. It's the time of year, innit. Fox yoot asserting themselves and seeing off rivals. I think. Edited to say: Also at this time of year they dig holes, parents teaching cubs how to dig, so I've read, could be a load of b******s of course.
  10. When you say footpath, do you mean some kind of alteration/addition to the existing pavement? I thought you meant a path going from CPR to somewhere else, hence my confusion!

Is it?
  12. Talking about different things I think - didn't see any sign of a proper footpath, but maybe I looked in the wrong place, quite likely

  14. I thought you meant a permanent footpath .... Presume you mean the temporary walkway due to work being done on the pavement??
  15. Well they wouldn't give me a certificate anyway, paid for or not, because I am no longer ill. And they said I'd have to self-certificate and that that was the law. All they could say was, if my employer wanted, they could phone the surgery who would confirm they were closed on Friday.
  16. Every woman of a certain age knows what a Wonderbra is/was :))
  17. Thanks, that's useful. But by the time I get to see the GP (Monday) I will I hope be better - I think it was either a bad migraine (though haven't had one for years, but probably stress-related) or some kind of bug, feeling a lot better today. Would never normally go to GP for something like that, but clearly councils don't trust their employees :-S
  18. Now I'm really confused - got no sense of direction :)) But got to go to the Uplands to book a room today, will have a look!
  19. Yes. They just said "they're closed."
  20. Really? Pity they didn't think to change their voicemail message then - would have saved me a lot of time and trouble trying to contact them.
  21. Where abouts in CPR is it?
  22. Not if you work for Islington Council, apparently :-S
  23. Thanks, don't think it's that urgent, I just wanted to speak to the receptionist at DMC - sadly have become ill straight after my hols and work want a medical certificate, but don't think they would give me one anyway for less than five days off :-S
