  1. I don't suppose there is a beach that is just one train ride from East Dulwich or nearby train station?
  2. Hi, My son likes to play on the grass. He picks the grass, Daisy's and dandelions and throws them in the air. Recently on his throwing hand, he's been getting large red welts. They turn into dry cracked skin. obviousky we have sought medical advice re helping the skin. But we can't find the cause. Does anyone know of any common garden plant that does this? We are in a new house so I'm not exactly familiar with what we have. Thanks
  3. If you mean nursery, we heard a few weeks ago re Sept 2016
  4. Sorry, I meant cubic.
  5. We were choosing between Heber and goodrich. So I can't speak for goose green. But for talking to other mums, we didn't go with Heber because it's small, limited natural light and views to outdoors when stuck inside and it felt a little oversubscribed for the size of it. We since learnt that when working out how many children are allowed in a space it's done by square metre. So bizarrely includes ceiling height. Heber has high ceilings so it's sq metre size is large and more children are allowed.
  6. I got these for my son: https://www.etsy.com/transaction/1072335357?campaign_label=transaction_buyer_notification&utm_source=transactional&utm_campaign=transaction_buyer_notification_010170_10529880387_0_0&utm_medium=email&utm_content=&email_sent=1444681922&euid=vJJ5O__EofbMICCD-uJ0seaD5vOF&eaid=86607669&x_eaid=2f685e94f7
  7. We checked the title deeds and there is no indication as to who owns what unfortunately.
  8. We have no fence between our house and our neighbours. We would like one. Can we just go ahead and out one up (with the posts etc being on our land? Or is this not allowed? Obviously we will check with the neighbour to see if they mind and hopefully it won't be a problem. But if they do mind, where do we stand?
  9. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a kitchen. Stylish, excellent price, good longevity. Easy to update with fronts etc years later if you want.
  10. We need a new front garden fence and there are a few lovely looking ones around east Dulwich. We like the Matt black metal railings that seem to be popular. But I can't for the life of me find out where to buy them or have someone fit one locally. If anyone has experience or can recommend it would be appreciated.
  11. Robert and Denny's seem very good. Professional, a really good service. However, if you are on a budget, they aren't cheap. Their quote came in at ?1k more than my other cheapest quote and ?500 more than the most expensive quote.

  13. I've dyed my own hair for 20yrs. However, I liked my friends dye job done by a salon and decided to give it a go. I would recommend INOA dye. It's done by many salons including Willis B on Lorship Lane. The reason it is good is because it replenishes rather than depletes your hair. It's decent colour but the conditioning is superior. Gives you really glossy colour. I would say, if you are getting one colour, not highlights or any of that jazz, get anyone to do it. Don't pay for an expensive colour director. Anyone in the salon can do it.
  14. Wait til Spring. It's definitely quiet now. Mind you, that means less competition.
  15. Thanks Edmummy. Of course I've already spoken to NHS direct and have an appointment at the doctors this morning. The forum is just another resource :)
  16. Thanks Saffron. I was hoping you might post. The respiratory paragraph above rings a bell. He was a bit better this evening and ate something. If he's still ill tomorrow we are going to a walk in doctors. Fingers crossed.
  17. Hi all, Does anyone recognise my sons symptoms? I guess I want to hear someone else has experienced this too and it's going to be all ok soon. My son was saying he wasn't well at bedtime 2 nights ago. He didn't eat his dinner and was very burpy and lethargic. That night he woke and was very hot all over and trying to be sick but just a bit of flem coming up. Yesterday he was a little better in the morning, he ate breakfast and lunch but got low again after his nap and was really low in the afternoon, lying still for hours and refusing food. Went to bed without dinner but slept ok ish. This morning he is still low. He won't eat again. When I encourage him too he chews it but won't swallow. Lots of gagging and burping and clinging to a basin to be sick but very little liquid coming up. He doesn't have a temperature although very hot to touch. The real signature to this is the wind and burps coming out when he moves, I lift him, he eats etc. He has hardly eaten since lunchtime yesterday, very concerning. Is there anything going around? Anyone recognising this?
  18. Agreed. Talk about lowering the tone. ed_pete Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Louisa Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Peckham is Peckham. > > Then call it Peckham - no need to be rude about > it.
  19. Brilliant! Well done. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of it and help out if help is wanted. AZH Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I'm gutted. 20. Gutted! No where else as kid friendly as this. Super gutted.
  21. That's weird isn't it when normal windows are freezing. It's exactly what I wanted to hear though!
  22. How about dulwich picture gallery gardens or dulwich library gardens. Never see dogs in there :)
  23. Oh,cool. Thank you!
  24. We are thinking of removing a wall and putting in bi fold doors beside our sitting area so we can look over the garden. I was just wondering if a sofa right near these doors would be too cold? Does the vast amount of glass create a freezing wall so not practical for direct living quarters? Thanks
