  1. Bromley pavilion pool is warm and starts very shallow like a beach so good for babies.
  2. I'm a shocker for mozzies. I get big egg like bites. I also go to Asia regularly. The best advice I can give is to buy mozzie repellant in the country you go to. The more deet in it the better and in foreign lands they put way more deet in their product than we do. It's not some super healthy solution I understand, but with bites like mine the more eco solutions I would normally opt for are useless.
  3. The arcade beside is it called Holdrons Arcade. Check out the amazing pancake cafe at the far end of it.
  4. The superfront website might offer options too.
  5. The ofsted review was on the 6th December so normally the results would be out by now. Delays can be caused if a school disputes the results. However, The Xmas holidays may have affected the timeline.
  6. We have used sound proofing methods twice for similar reasons. The problem is, no matter what you spend or do, you will struggle to make much impact. As one professional explained to me, noise is just like water. If you totally sound proof your flow the noise finds a way to seep down the sides of the wall etc. If the specific noise problem is footfall then of course rugs etc soften thins but if it's talking etc the headphones might be the only real option. However, if you wanted to proceed (we did, despite the above, thinking any little surely helps" then you could lift your laminate and use a sound proofing underlay which you can mum fairly reasonably online. Good luck.
  7. Yes there is one just outside Paris that we have thought of eurostarring to as well. Much cheaper.
  8. Try Martinhal Sabres resort in Portugal. It's not too far, it's warm, it's perfect.
  9. I wanted to use someone over email and therefore used Baby Sleep Site. Good luck. It's bloody hard but you will get there and it does get easier.
  10. It is worth it in that you don't feel like you wasted your money afterwards. We've went three years in a row but this year are going to Haven instead. A bit different but a lot of similar if slightly lower profile entertainment at significantly cheaper prices.
  11. save with Jamie is great but you probably have this already. Try Freeze by Justine Pattison. It's about cooking large meals and putting some aside. Even though it's great for saving the recipes are some of the best I've ever made. Really yummy, well written with every day ingredients.
  12. Maybe get a cheap bottle for her to practice putting drops in a suitable plastic dollys eyes?
  13. With the Three Day Nanny recommendation I made up above, I just wanted to say, if you can find it on tv or YouTube, sometimes it's easier to get something to stick if you physically watch it. It's also much easier to watch half an hour of something fairly entertaining than get time to sit with a book.
  14. I like the three day nanny. Read her books and watched her 2 tv shows.
  15. Goodrich nursery were asking for egg boxes. The office will be open from normal school hours this wed.

  17. I love that you "call upon her" like a magical entity, a fairy godmother. Hilaire.
  18. That's a good point about the pavements. I've reported it to Southwark. When I've done this previously hey are quite good at fixing issues within 3-6mths. Fingers crossed.
  19. Today we are bowling in Surrey quays with bumpers. Yesterday we went to the soft play at the pavilion in Bromley and then shopping afterwards and on to the Cars the Movie ride outside Primark afterwards.
  20. There are two buildings getting done up between the Galleon and the CoOp. Does anyone know what might be occurring?
  21. We went for a walk with scooters through Dulwich park and had lunch at Rocca.
  22. I do understand the short appointment times. But here is how I th No it could be done simply better and equally as short: Good morning Mrs Y, sorry to hear your son isn't well, let's see what we can do to help. Listen to symptoms, think about solution. From what you have said it sounds like it could be a bacterial infection. Let's see if antibiotics can help. I hope he feels better soon. Have a nice day.
  23. There's a few left at Watsons telegraph.
  24. Thank you for your feedback. The antibiotics did help both him and me. Unfortunately he is sick with a tummy bug now. Never ending! I think the problem with all doctors I have seen recently is they don't give you the time to explain anything like the poster above. A small bit of sympathy and courtousey would go a long way to building confidence. Bedside manner is definitely lacking.
  25. Hi, If you are a parent of a child at this school I would love to hear your views both positive and negative (please pm) especially now you are in the new site. Much appreciated
