At least scooters are noisy. Now if I hear one, night or day, I check myself and keep very mindful. -
We have lived in both areas. PR offers a much better to commute to nearly everywhere. Especially at night.

I love it but would have foregone the private garage for more garden or another room. -
When I went last year, they explained that only the three surrounding streets worth of children get in.

The worry will be if it will be cleaned each morning. Cats, dogs and foxes love a bit of sand. -
The worst is parents outside schools. They sit waiting to drop off or collect and keep the car running in the summer for air con or winter for heat. Meanwhile filling their child's lungs with pollution.

Childhood medical records

Thanks, I'm not worried about that bit. Homeless disabled man I see in Forest Hill Road area.
yeknomyeknom replied to baruchsol's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
My heart certainly goes out to him. It really does. Nonetheless he starts drinking quite early and gets very rowdy. It's very intimidating for my young child and his new spot outside the park isn't great for the young families going in and out. -
Childhood medical records

Unfortunately it was 30 years ago and we have no idea of hospital only a guess of 2 boroughs. Thanks for all thoughts. Looks like we might be out of luck. -
Here are some ideas which may or may not suit based on varying budgets. You don't know if your wife or you will feel happy to leave your baby so best to stick close to home. Use Perfect 10 mobile beauty. It's very well respected, reasonably priced and they offer spa treatments on your home which I think is key. You can book in a massage but if on the day your wife decides she would prefer a different treatment. The staff tend to be multi skilled and able to change it up. Buy a good DVD boxset or subscription to Netflix. I can recommend Scandal boxset. Me and my two sisters all enjoyed with newborns. There will be lots of long nights where she has to stay up potentially to feed the baby. Often this involves time on a phone or mobile device browsing whilst baby feeds. Check out Readly online. It's a way to subscribe to all magazines online and is actually a significantly cheaper way to read mags than the paper versions. I would recommend Grazia. Make your own home spa for her. Buy a cheap foot spa from Argos, a sheet face mask which are all the rage (cult beauty is a good site for inspiration), you can buy sleep massage masks, hand masks, essential oils and creams and give her a full treatment yourself. You could get a jar and some colourful post it notes. On each one write a lovely memory or compliment and fold it into the jar. Tell her you know there will be hard days ahead and if it gets a bit much to select a note to read in the hopes of lifting her spirits up. Make a mix tape for her to listen to that reminds her how much you know her and love her. Music is easy to listen to with a baby. On that note, how about a Spotify subscription? Also an Alexa Dot to play it on. To be honest the way you have described her in your post would make her smile and happy. Don't forget just writing something nice can be a lovely gift in itself.

Have you given your child a mobile phone?
yeknomyeknom replied to bodsier's topic in The Family Room Discussion
When you don't have a mobile phone you come quite familiar with the local pay phones. There aren't a lot but they do exist. There is often a phone in the door of supermarkets, some traditional pubs, some libraries. You get to know them when you need to. -
I would like to obtain childhood medical records from Bromley and Lewisham hospitals but do not know specifically which ones. There is no one to ask to get more information on hospital specifics. All I know is that there was two hospital admittances whislt living in these boroughs. When I look online it seems I would have to apply directly to the specific hospital where treatment happened. Does anyone know if there is a broader place to apply, a centralised place as such?

I'm not saying I disagree with you or I agree with the other poster. Or vice versa. I am saying everyone is entitled to their view and that life is difficult enough without us berating eachother and pulling eachother down. You don't seem to be open to this fact and I'm sure the parents tuning into this thread would much rather it addressed the issues at hand so I am going to stop engaging with you now DulwichLondoner. This is a forum. The definition of a forum being "A meeting or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged." People are entitled to exchange their views. Whether you value homeopathic views or scientific ones, you don't know what the next person on here values. All points should be made welcome. It's for the reader to then discern what is of value to them. You are entitled to your views but so is everyone else. I think everyone should be entitled to make their comments on here without being berated because someone disagrees with them. You can get your point across without pulling another person down. We are all parents struggling along and trying to do the best for our kids. We all reach out on this forum for support and advice. We can each give our wildly varying views without criticising others so I think we should choose to be kind rather than clever.
