  1. Just listened to Radio London 94.9 - no trains through P Rye at moment. Try their website as they say they will post up most recent announcements.
  2. Cait, you've now moaned on at least three threads about Le Chardon. Get over it and stop hijacking threads.
  3. Tsk, tsk, M123 - neither racing nor cricket are boring. And TLS, even I know that "World" refers to a newspaper title not a real world event.
  4. No probs Goose Green end.
  5. Somebody please satisfy my curiousity: just heard the phrase "eggs over easy" - always wondered what it meant.
  6. Not in the northern hemisphere.
  7. Ukelele wrestling?
  8. Blimey, MikeP, you been listening to George Harrison all day?
  9. I have it on good authority from someone who was there earlier, that Telegraph Hill is the place to be.
  10. Back from a wonderful walk. Amazing the amount of snow'men' - particular mention for the somewhat lewd one with breasts and strategically applied grass. Tesco Express has just closed down - not enough staff. I was fortunate enough to be one of the last let in so we're stocked up on Heinz tomato soup which is essential in this weather. Three cheers for the Park Rangers/Gardeners who braved it in to open up the gates.
  11. I'm just going for a dog walk, chaps, I may be sometime ...
  12. I'm up for a little winter warmer in the EDT. Whisky Mac anyone?
  13. Can't get diddlysquat out of The Grey Coat Hospital in Westminster (phone/website) so have sent my daughter back to bed just because I'm in a good mood.
  14. Oh VBC - this is my nemesis indeed.
  15. S'alright Moos, you can offset it with a comedy apron - always the sign of a serious chef.
  16. Oh Quids, I'd love to have a little sing song, but right now I have to hang out my washing on the Siegfried Line.
  17. I've been out of work for ages. Now got a job as a dog walker - in this! Can my luck be any worse?
  18. Morley's is the gaffe in Brixton.
  19. My cup runneth over. Just had a wonderful afternoon/evening, celebrating a friend's birthday at a chinese restaurant (happy new year). Snowball fight on the way home. Wonderful. I love snow. [sorry Annaj]
  20. Why has my thread title been hijacked? Bleedin' 1984 all over again, innit?
  21. If you get the chance, do read Dr Isadore Crown's books. They give a lovely feel for what Peckham used to be like.
  22. Have you not seen Sister Mary Joseph with the banner, Brendan?
  23. I once borrowed some baking soda from my lovely neighbour. Moral - don't start making soda bread without it.
  24. Those third rate cricketers have just been awarded that controversial Pakistan game! PS - He who comes first shall be last!
