  1. JMI - very sorry to hear about your flatmate, that's awful. Hope the police catch him. One thing in your post made my hackles rise though: "mainly due to it's proximity to other areas". What are you implying? (she asks defensively, thinking about steaming down LL with a Nam gang or at least a well-placed shuttlecock)
  2. No, she went of her own accord. Boom, boom.
  3. You will have to join the EDF union, Strawbs. (Hopes he/she is old enough to get that)
  4. But a junk mail sender might be quite pleased to receive a pretty piece of origami.
  5. Cool for Cats - Squeeze
  6. I don't think Cazzyr was attacked, merely asked, in a very low key way, a fairly reasonable question from someone not in her situation. Curiousity can't be condemned even if it was unintentionally tactless. Her response was very defensive which is sad if she feels her back is against the wall from previous experiences, but I don't think anyone was denigrating her life choice. If we can't share our thoughts and beliefs then we would be very insular, ignorant and (sweeping generalisation) 'ghettoised'.
  7. Never thought I'd find myself sympathising with Dom, but I do. ----------------------------------------------------------------- There are 10 sorts of umbrellas that perform by rain
  8. I absolutely hate people serving in shops/banks, etc, chewing gum. It is so unprofessional and quite nasty to witness.
  9. Equivalent to Mr Cambell's demise on Coniston - so beware
  10. Dear DM A little something to block out the less fastidious members of our forum: Pump Room Latest Weapon
  11. Nice to see the medication for HB's pschizophrenia (sic) is working now.
  12. But Steve T - they've already got a room!
  13. Unable to come. (Homemade hummous in Bar Story is rather yummy should you be up for a starter!) Have fun everyone.
  14. I would love to try the Castle cos I'm nosy and want to see what all the fuss is about - also, despite a deep streak of conformity I occasionally like to burst out and be controversial. However, I value my acquaintance with Annaj far above that and am happy to go with the flow. As Mike pointed out earlier, we could always have a sub-group to breach the Castle one day. While I understand your sentiments Sean, it's just not worth upsetting the applecart. (Oh how I love interjecting silly metaphors!)
  15. Yes please, i'm too old for this walking lark. Where the place? Upon the heath? There to meet with Asset!
  16. Just spoke to builders emerging from The Green. Definitely going to be Italian restaurant, ready in about 10 weeks. (There is another thread about this somewhere.)
  17. My car battery has died so no lifts tonight - sorry. A warm-up walk should do us good (gasp).
  18. I'm sorry - I won't know until tomorrow. Prob not, but there's a slim chance...
  19. 1) The Castle (fancy a bit of rough) 2) Montpellier (how is that remote - it's nearer than Peckham Rye station which I bet loads of you SE22ers use)
  20. St Lawrence ground is lovely Brendan - shame about the tree.
