    How cruel of you Sue. Replace it immediately with half a dozen of ED's finest organic ones! Saw a lovely drift of violets today, they are such a pretty flower. And the plum blossom seems to be miles ahead of the apples and cherry.

    As someone who lives round the corner (and opposite a school), I'm not bothered about the noise, but I do think if parents drive to drop their children off, it will be chaos. Parking is already at a premium because of the school and lots of yellow zigzags.

    Just watched "Escape to Victory" for the umpteenth time. It's a crap film but it warms the cockles of the heart every time. The Marseillaise is almost as good as in "Casablanca". Even gives me a warm glow towards West Ham.

    I think university rooms are being rented out for cheaper options. Through the roof option may be a floating hotel - I think I read that two cruise ships are seeking permission to moor nearby for the duration. It doesn't bother me what anyone else chooses to do but I'm in the MM camp. Just not sure I can afford the tickets.
