Our Girl The first tv series in ages that made me actually 'feel' something. Last episode was tonight & I'm still feeling it.

British guests on British shows that have to let drop that they just 'got in' last night. Like it makes them more important because they were somewhere better than here.

What difference does it make? My eldest daughter went to the old Waverley school before it became a Harris academy. There were only 3 other white girls in her class. My youngest went to Kingsdale & there was only one other white child in her class. I grew up in a place that was 100% white but that didn't make me racist. Children will choose their friends regardless of colour and do well at school regardless of diversity if they are brought up to believe that everyone is equal.

Heeling?! Never done that. Just wear mine til they are worn out then put them in the bin.

My daughter left Kingsdale in 2010. When she joined the school was 85% black, 15% white. She left school with black friends & white friends. She then attended college with black friends & white friends. She gets on well with everybody & has friends from all races & different cultures. She thinks the same as I do. Everybody is equal.

If I do a roast midweek I'll make 2 dinners exactly the same, wrap the 2nd plate in cling film & put it in the fridge to re-heat the next day in the microwave. It tastes just as good & there's no cooking to do & only a plate to wash up!

Great track Otta but preferred 'All these things that I've done' & 'Mr Brightside' on that particular album. Agree about first impressions grabbing you though. I think I was hooked after hearing one of their tracks on the radio before I even heard any of their albums.

Constantly reading threads about shops opening/closing, coffee shops opening/closing. What is this going to be? What is that going to be? People obsessing about what they've heard or are dying to know. Like another certain designer outlet or restaurant chain arriving will have such a big impact on their lives. I just don't get it at all. Aren't there more important things in life to worry about?

Because I never do and am a little bit tired of reading about it on here. Today I had macaroni cheese & garlic bread AT HOME. Some of us unfortunates that have to work Sundays don't have time to make a roast or the wealth to eat out.

My parents switched me on to politics when I was about 11 years old. They lived in an area that was true blue and still is. They voted Liberal their whole lives simply because they didn't want to vote Tory & knew Labour could never win. When I moved from the area I realised that votes actually count. So I voted Labour.

You're a bit premature EP. It doesn't start on channel 4 til next Sunday!
