"Harsh sentences for dogs" That made me laugh a lot :D

I always pick up my dogs poo BTW! even wash it away with domestos when it's runny.

I love a good dog poo thread! not enough of them
-
Nice pun! I never said it was the same dog. It was in response to Dulwich Park Fairys post. There IS also a dog in CPR that barks a lot, that's all.

Firstly Mamma Mia, I'm glad your son is apparently ok! That at least is the main thing. I have held back on posting as your OP wasn't overly clear. It does however appear that he was clearly hit and very lucky it was not more serious. As a cyclist who uses CP road everyday, i am very surprised this sort of accident doesn't happen more often. It is ironically by far the worst part of my daily commute. I always ride in the middle of the road at junctions to give both myself and drivers more time to see each other and react. I'm afraid i can't help on identifying the vehicle as i don't pass until later in the morning. But I'm pretty sure you won't have trouble spotting them as previous posters have already stated. They are highly likely to use this route daily (although maybe not tomorrow!!) but for sure they will reappear. Please also refer to the link given to the LFGSS earlier. It is a very useful resource. I wish your son all the best and hope you manage to catch the culprit! Please keep us updated. P/

^ Have a heart you lot! Whatever you do, don't make her pay. That's really tight. I'm sure she didn't mean to break it and at eighteen that sort of money is a very big deal!

I used to get stopped for sk8boarding in Edinburgh a lot when staying with my folks. (was living in London at the time though) They we're very suspicious when i told them i lived in London... was even accused of being a cheeky wee *^!(*^ often!

Sounds a little bit fishy. I've never heard of that myself, nor have i been asked the same in a similar situation. I mean, don't the police have means to determine who you say you are with having to resort to photo being taken?

There is definitely a very yappy barking dog on Crystal Palace Road. Over x-mas hols it would often start at 4am, still going on at various times of the day. Owner does nothing to stop the barking!!

The 'Argh!!!! ' was quoted from you. There was no aggression in my post or abuse aimed at you personally or otherwise. It was just a good old honest and simple question. And also a pointer to a thread which you had previously posted, on a very similar problem. Which i might add, some might have considered helpful as it may have revealed an answer to your OP. That's all. :)

I find it hard to see how my post was 'aggressive', nor did i resort to name calling. You need to lighten up!

Argh!!!! There's already a thread about this as well you know. Why start a new one...? http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,552511,559076#msg-559076

Peckhamgatecrasher Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > "an hotel" > > I'm now officially in love with twirly. -------------------------------------------------------- To use 'an' just sounds weird. It's mixed as to which is truly the correct prefix as far as i can gather.

haha, for sure! But don't forget, a lot of women still think Karen Millen's very 'classy' ;-)

The OP simply used the term classy as opposed to mediocre/average. As so many hotels/B&Bs tend to be. How would a 'classy' hotel end up looking like Karen Millen? and even if it did, what would be so bad about that. Customers would then have a choice between lace curtains or shiny black glass. That just the boils down to personal taste and customer choice doesn't it. which in my view, is a good thing. sorry if i missed something.

Not trying to sound funny, but why was it parked on the footpath? (genuine question)
